Hit: LHH. Relaxed stance. Leans into his backside and glides toward the pitcher. Smooth stroke that is level and extended through at finish. Standout trackman data includes 50% LDs and 57.1% hard-hit rate. At times can get onto his front side with some drift which can make him susceptible to offspeed. In Game 2 went with an outside FB and drove it to left for an LD single. Power: 97 max exit velocity. Showed some wall ball power in his BP hitting several balls 320+ feet. 71mph bat speed max is above average for his age and shows a decent power floor. Arm: RH. C - 74 mph. 2/5 accurate throwdowns during the defensive workout. Quicker short arm action. Above-average arm strength for age. Lower throws that were short when off-target. Defense: 2.01-2.12 pop times. During throwdowns should real quick feet and exchanges. Gains good ground towards 2nd. Decent receiving/blocking skills during game action. Run: 7.42 runner in the 60.

at Foothill HS - Uncommitted; Again played RF and hit in 3-spot, as was the case in viewing a few days ago. Faced 2020 RHP Matt Ager (UCSB commit) in this one, confidence comes through at the plate, recognizes pitches well, competitive line (BB, K, F7) and was in each at-bat. Laid of chase-type pitches, drove ball to LF while later driving a high fly ball double near fence in straight-away RF vs a softer thrower. Has some competitive edge to him as he interacts with teammates which is interesting as a soph with a lot of seniors playing primary roles on the team.

vs Foothill - Played RF and hit 3rd in this game, lean wiry body type, obviously hitting in 3-spot as a sophomore is a strong indication of his talent, generally a pull side approach with rotational swing, took balanced swings vs a senior LHP committed to a D2 program (82-85), flashed some future power potential with long foul ball that hooked to the pull side, made adjustments within the game as there was some slider chase in his first AB then showed ability to recognize and lay off the slider in his 2nd at-bat that ended in a walk. Roamed RF well, making several plays.

PBR NORTHERN CA UNDERCLASS GAMES
Body: 6-foot-0, 170-pounds. Lean, athletic, wiry strength presently w/frame to fill Hit: LHH. Lively stroke, there is pull side power right now and the ball jumps off hit bat. Primarily a pull oriented approach, hammered a ball by the 2nd baseman in game action, quick trigger with a loose easy and yet also good violence in the stroke. Understands how to stay behind the barrel and let it live through contact. Developing the ability to use the whole field is an area to focus on for him, but the talent to hit and do with power is absolutely present. Power: 93 mph EV off tee Arm: OF velo 81 mph / Catcher velo - 75 mph - . Athletic approach and nice carry on throws to 3B and home. Possesses release and arm talent to stick on a corner in the OF. Behind plate flashed on the bag accuracy w/slight tailing action though also got a little quick/loose on the delivery and sailed a couple on the 2B side, quick easy arm though Defense: As an OF the release was good, solid carry that can improve, confident and athletic approach to the ball, projects as a left-fielder with enough arm and athleticism to limit extra bases. // 2.04-2.22 Pop-times - Primary OF but jumped behind plate for the workout & looked every bit the part of a primary catcher. Feet are quick and he's got agility, looked very comfortable popping out of the crouch, feet and release can sync up a little better for improved/more consistent accuracy. Did not catch in the live ABs portion. Run: 7.69 60-yard
