Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
6/18/19 - Uncommitted. 5-foot-8, 155 pound ball of fast twitch athleticism. Plus runner with a 6.68 60 time. Uses above avgerage bat speed to produce a 93 mph exit velocity. There's more power than you'd think coming out of that frame - and I'd project it to get to near average as he continues to gain strength. Uses a small leg kick trigger into a slightly uphill swing. Loose hands. Also showed a solid arm from the OF, registering 87 mph. He has a chance to develop into a player with 5 average or better tools.
1/7/18 - 5-foot-7, 133-pound frame. Solid 7.27 60-yard dash for 2022 prospect. Offensively, uses leg lift trigger to create narrow base with rigid, late hand load. Could make swing more rhythmic by starting slower and earlier. 72 mph exit velocity. Steep bat path produced lots of backspin. Worked out in the infield an outfield and is comfortable in both spots. Feet work well on infield, showing range to both sides. Turned in 71 mph velo from the infield and 76 from the outfield.
