6-foot-4, 200-pound physical frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 88 mph. Began in a tall stance with a smooth load, then used a controlled stride. Had quick bat speed and upward swing plane. Found multiple barrels with some loud contacts. Pull side approach. From the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 80 mph; shows a fluid exchange, sure hands and average feet. Showed decent accuracy to the bases. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.21. Projectable on the mound, showed easy effort in his delivery. Has a clean finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 76-78 mph with a max of 79 mph; had arm side command. His 11/5 curveball (67-69) shows decent command and late action.
Showed some feel on the mound with a FB up to 80 mph but the pitch showed some ASR and late sink vs. hitters. The breaking ball took the shape of a slider with nice, tight shape. The arm path is clean and the delivery is clean. The breaking ball was 67-68 mph. The arm action translates to the OF as well as the ball came out of the hand well. Did a nice job of using him momentum in the throw. At the plate he started from a slightly open stance and the swing was well synched with the top and lower half of the body. Had a definite pull side approach.
Garrett Lee (2021 OF/RHP, Lawrence County HS) 6’2 185 lbs- Offensively, showcased some pull side juice during BP. Nice approach. Exit velo was 83 mph. Above average runner with a 7.26 60 yard dash. Was 78 mph from OF to C. On the mound, fastball sat 73-74 and touched 75 a few times with some cut. Secondary stuff was above average. Curveball was 65-67 and changeup was 67-69
