6-foot-4, 195-pound. During batting practice, the left-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 89 mph. Starts in a balanced wide stance then uses a controlled stride. Bat speed was above average, and had a flat swing plane. Found multiple barrels with some loud contact . Line drive approach. While in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 67 mph; has rhythmic footwork. Showed consistent accuracy to the base and a ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.99. On the mound, showed an over-the-top angle. Up-tempo type pitcher and shows some effort. Sat with his fastball at 79-81 mph with a max of 82 mph; had command around the zone. Throws a 1/7 curveball (64-67) with slurvey action.

The young (2024) LHP shows a very nice, easy delivery. The fastball has very nice arm side action at 69-70 mph and the breaking ball shows late depth at 59-60 mph s he shows the ability to bury this pitch down in the zone. The change up presently solid and shows late tumble to the arm side. The potential is there on the mound in this ‘24 grad and will be interesting to see him grow into his body in the future. Slightly open in the stance at the plate with a small leg kick approach. The hands work well and he keeps the barrel on plane to contact and does a nice job staying on the ball. The swing plane has slight tilt and there will be added juice off the barrel as he continues to physically mature. Like the actions with the glove at 1B and shows some “feel” with the actions around the bag.
11/10/19
Youngest player at the event but has nice physical size for a ‘24 and solid actions. The arm action on the mound is solid and the FB was up to 70 mph with high 1600’s spin rate and typical LHP ASR. The breaking ball is a two plane pitch which he can throw for strikes and the change up really disappears late. Interesting follow on the mound as he ages. Moved well around the bag at 1B and there is some looseness in the glove actions with natural feel. The feet worked well preparing to field the ground ball. From the left side at the plate, he started slightly open with the feet in the stance and he did a very nice job of getting his transferred to the back side to launch the swing. Shows a small leg kick and the bat speed is nice for a young player that should continue to increase over the next few years. Liked the pull side power he showed at the plate. A definite ‘24 to keep an eye on.
