6/23/21
5-foot-10, 165-pound solid frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 92 mph. Sets up in a balanced stance and used a quick stride. Bat speed was above average, and showed a flat swing plane. Was able to create some loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap approach. In the infield, shows twitchy hands, and athletic feet. Laterally, his movements were quick. Showed consistent accuracy.
4/30/21
Didn’t have much to show for after Game 1, but hit a couple balls right on the screws before finally finding a couple of holes in Game 2 of the doubleheader sweep. Facing two pitchers who showed the ability to run the fastball up into the mid-80’s, Carr handled fastballs well in both games with multiple line drives up the middle and to the pull side. Hitting in the cleanup spot as a sophomore, Carr went 2-for-3 with two singles, two runs and also added a walk in Game 2. Average 5-10, 165-pound frame with still more physical growth to come. Gets the foot down on time and slots his hands close to his body, making it easier to shoot quick hands through the zone. Made some difficult plays look easy at the hot corner defensively. Plays multiple positions, including catcher.

Had quick feet and transfers on his throw downs, recording a 1.87-1.92 pop time. A lot of flexibility and clean setup. Showed consistent accuracy to the bag and a quick arm action. Showed his athleticism during the event with a sub-seven 60 time of 6.96.
10/20/19
Nice looking young player that impressed behind the plate and at SS. In the dirt, the feet and the hands work very well and he showed natural actions on ground balls. Very athletic set up with the glove and did a nice job moving through ground balls. Quick transfer and nice arm strength for a young player. Behind the plate, he showed advanced catch and throw skills and everything was smooth and natural for him. Was as low as 2.01 pop time. The ball came out of the hand well and he also showed solid fundamentals on balls in the dirt. At the plate the feet started slightly open and showed a repeatable swing throughout his round with a definite middle of the field approach. The approach is short and compact and the hands work well. Does a nice job with the top hand and shows some slight tilt in the swing plan. A very impressive ‘23 to follow.
