A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
The future 2 sport star for the Bulldogs took on a potent Cullman lineup and did a nice job keeping them off balance and forcing a lot of soft contact. Seaton (who will also play QB on “The Hill”) is best known for his bat but he is a quality arm on the mound for the Mustangs as well. Seaton works quick on the mound and pounds the bottom half of the zone with multiple pitches. The arm action stays the same with everything he throws as the fastball was consistently 83-84 mph, bumping 85 mph on occasion with a good deal of arm side action. The breaking ball showed true depth and seemed to break late at 75-76 mph. Much like his counterpart (Stancil), Seaton continued to pound the lower, outer half quadrant.

5-foot-10, 190-pound athletic frame. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter showed power in the box with an exit velocity of 92 mph. Started in an open athletic stance with a smooth load, then used a leg kick. Bat speed was quick, showed uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found lots of barrels with tons of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. His best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 86 mph; shows twitchy hands, a natural exchange and athletic feet. Had consistent accuracy. The athletic recruit showcased his speed with a sub-seven 60 time of 6.93. On the mound, showed a quick arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Up-tempo type pitcher who shows some effort. Showed consistent balance point. Sat with his fastball at 84-87 mph with a max of 87 mph; showed in the zone command. His 11/5 curveball (71-74) shows hard action and around the zone command. Showed command low in the zone and fading action on his changeup (78-79). The bat plays big time.

A player that keeps putting up impressive numbers each time we see him. On the mound he showed clean actions with a nice, tight delivery. The FB was up to 84 mph and showed late run and the breaking ball showed more slider type action in the low to mid 70’s and played well of the FB. Did a nice job of pounding the zone. The arm obviously works from the OF (86 mph) and the athleticism plays easily. Solid feel for the position. Showed a leg kick approach at the plate with nice rhythm in the set up. Does a nice job staying through the hitting zone and really stayed short and drove balls to the RCF gap. Like this ‘21 athlete.

The bat really plays for this 2021 outfielder. Starts with a slightly open stance and does a nice job with the weight transfer in the swing. The hands and barrel really work inside the ball and he showed big-time juice to the middle of the field with some tilt in the swing. Natural instincts in the outfield and advanced athleticism make him a nice prospect in the outfield. Showed big time on strength up to 88 mph from the grass
1.20.19- had a nice day all the way around. An athletic 2021 that is also a QB in football with nice core strength. Showed plenty of arm strength during IF drills and was very clean with the glove. Nice quick transfer on the throw with plenty of carry. In the OF, advanced footwork allows him to position himself well to make the throw with plenty of carry and a clean arm slot. Throws stayed on line to the plate. At the plate, his exit velocity was 89 mph off of a tee as he started with a square stance and did a nice job of using his strong lower half. The bat path through the zone is plus and the setup is smooth but explosive. Showed nice pull side juice. A versatile 2021 to keep an eye on.
