The Rock Summer Championships 15U: Takeaways

We continued our summer tournament circuit this past weekend with the 15U PBR at The Rock Summer Championship. This event gave our scouting staff an in depth look at some of the up-and-coming prospects from the state, as well as a couple surrounding states. Read on below to see which players stood out to our scouting staff from the event. 

Thursday 

Bennie Boys

INF Kendall Erdmann (Forreston, 2026
Erdmann went 1-for-2 today out of the leadoff spot for BennieBoys. Erdmann displayed athleticism at the plate and in the field at shortstop. A bat worth following the rest of the weekend. 

BREW STATE 

RHP/3B Sam Wells (Brookfield East, 2026)
Wells pitched a complete game shutout on Thursday while striking out eight. Wells started the game in the mid-70s but started to rise in the third inning at 78-80 mph, T81. Wells held that for the majority of the game while also showing a 67-68 mph slider that mixed well. The right-hander had an easy and repeatable motion that didn’t put much perceived effort into it. 

C Carter Mantei (Brookfield East, 2026)
Mantei has a tall, athletic frame that impressed on both sides of the game. Mantei went 1-for-3 with a bases-clearing triple on Thursday. Has an open stance with a high leg kick, quick hands that he utilizes to attack the top and bottom of the zone while creating loud contact. Mantei also helped his pitcher throw a complete game while limiting the baserunners from advancing.  

CHICAGO ELITE WHITE 

RHP Alex Panos (Lincoln Way Central, 2026)
The right-hander impressed on Thursday, firing a complete game effort with 11 strikeouts. He worked his fastball in the 73-76 mph range, topping out at 77 mph. Showed a gradual curveball to pair off the fastball in the low 60s.  

C Jordan Birks (Lockport, 2026)
Savvy and smart baserunner. On the barrel throughout our look with a line drive approach that works the gaps.  

DINGER BASEBALL 

LHP/INF Ian Tosi (Mount Carmel, 2026) 
Tosi showed an advanced feel for three pitches during his outing on Thursday. Athletic delivery, quick arm, sat in the high-70’s and touched 80 multiple times. Showed a fading CH that got swings and misses out of the zone. CB has late break and was thrown in all counts. Impressive pitchability that should only continue to get better.

HOUNDS BASEBALL 

MIF Lon Roberts (Lyons Township, 2026)
Roberts is an energetic player up the middle with soft hands and range to both sides. Made a number of impressive plays throughout the weekend with an athletic arm action. At the plate, a switch-hitter with fluid swings from both sides. Worked a number of quality at-bats using a middle of the field approach.  

OF Chris Bolte (Hinsdale South, 2026) 
Bolte is a physical left-handed hitter that showed advanced athleticism for Hounds Baseball. Displayed a fluid swing from the left side with strength in the hands. Showed natural feel for the barrel with two hits on Thursday night. Flashed some range in the outfield, making a couple impressive plays.

ILLINOIS PREMIER 2026 - LIS 

INF/RHP Caden Kendall (Andrew, 2026)
Kendall is a dynamic player that showed athleticism on both sides of the ball on Thursday morning. On the mound, he attacked hitters with a quick arm and a fastball that got up to 80 mph. Also mixed in a sharp breaking ball that generated swings and misses. At the plate, Kendall had an aggressive approach and showed natural power, slugging two doubles to left-center field. 

IMPACT SPORTS ACADEMY BLACK 2026 

RHP Teegan Karpinske (Appleton North, 2026)
The right-hander fired six strong innings with two hits, 10 strikeouts and one walk. The fastball worked in the 75-77 mph range and paired off a slider at 66-68 mph. Showed mature feel for the slider with out-pitch potential and above-average control.  

INF Rory Obma (De Pere, 2026)
Impressed with his easy power and knack for the barrel. Roped two doubles in our look, one being off the wall. Finished the day 2-for-3 with an RBI.  

IMPACT SPORTS ACADEMY WHITE 2026 

OF Gavin Spejcher (Preble, 2026)
Spejcher was on the barrel today at the plate going 2-for-2 with a walk from the right side for ISA White. Spejcher seemed to be a spark plug for the entire team as he displayed the ability to be a vocal leader on the field out in centerfield. 

OF Brock Wolter (Hortonville, 2026)
Wolter was all over the baseball today going 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs out of the three-hole. Wolter used a whole-field approach at the plate today and is worth following moving into the rest of the weekend. 

INF Ryan Kubick (DePere, 2026)
Kubick made loud contact this morning for ISA. The RHH collected two hits and two RBIs at the plate using all fields. Kubick also impressed with his defensive play at the hot corner.  

MASH 15U BLACK  

INF Patrick Karlen (Two Rivers, 2026)
Karlen came off the bench for Mash and impressed right away. The current No. 7 ranked player in the class of 2026 rankings for Minnesota, went 1-for-1 with a loud double and a walk. Karlen came into the game to play shortstop and certainly looked the part making plays and with his rangy actions in the field. Karlen is definitely a name to follow for the remainder of the tournament.  

CIF Owen Wilczek (Big Lake, 2026)
Wilczek possesses an eye-popping frame that is highly projectable moving forward. The long levered R/R CIF displayed a disciplined approach at the plate today, going 1-for-1 with two walks. When Wilczek got his pitch to hit, he didn’t miss the barrel. Wilczek is another Mash player to follow the rest of the weekend. 

RHP Brandon Lunneborg (Eagan, 2026)
Lunneborg slammed the door for Mash today out of the ‘pen. Working two scoreless and hitless frames, he also punched out two in the process. Lunneborg displayed a two-pitch mix that flashed dynamic movement. The fastball sat 73-76 mph with sinking action and collected swings and misses. The breaking ball sat 69-71 mph with 12/6 shape.  

MIDWEST HALOS SCOUT 

C Jacob Huff (Delavan-Darien, 2026)
Huff is ranked No. 25 in the class of 2026 and also is the top ranked catcher. Huff showed off his defensive prowess on Thursday by his pop and well above-average arm. Huff kept control of balls in the dirt by keeping them in front of him and limiting runners from advancing. At the plate Huff shows a calm and balanced stance that manufactured plenty of strong contact throughout the day.  

SS Mason Struma (Muskego, 2027) 
Athletic build that still has plenty of room to grow. Went 3-for-3 with a double on Thursday, showing a gap to gap approach with a wiry, smooth swing. Playing a year up and still catching everyone’s eye with not only his offensive contributions but also on defense; proving to be a rangy shortstop with an above-average arm.  

P2P MILLERS HOFFMAN 

OF Kolton Iverson (Chaska, 2026)
Iverson is a physical right-handed-hitter that showed some feel for the barrel on Thursday. During our look at him on Thursday Iverson showed a knack for making hard contact, driving a baseball to dead center field for a double. Defensively in right, Iverson provided a steady defensive presence throughout the game. 

CF Oliver Taynton (Maple Grove, 2026)
Taynton provided a steady presence at the top of the order for P2P Millers by showcasing his bat-to-ball skills and rarely swinging and missing throughout the day. Taynton is also an advanced defender in centerfield with fluid hips and makes the correct reads on fly balls hit his direction. 

P2P MILLER THORNEY 

2B Cully Ohm (Waconia, 2026)
Ohm found barrels throughout all three at-bats on Thursday, roping two doubles with two runs scored and an RBI. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound athletic built second baseman has a short and quick swing with a toe tap load, keeping his hands inside on the fastball. Starts with an open stance with a pre pitch rhythm. Has control of the barrel while driving the ball to all fields.  

RHP Evan O’Dwyer (Maple Grove, 2026)
Athletic build with plenty of room to grow. Sat 81-82 mph with a 69-72 mph slider. Fastball plays up with his size (6-foot-3) and showed quality spin. Slider has a late break that plays off his fastball to keep batters guessing. ¾ slot, arm reaches back for 180 degree angle, still head, weight transfers well, some effort in delivery. Struckout five in two innings, no hits and no walks. Tons of confidence.

PROSPECT TRAINING ACADEMY 15U WHITE 1 

RHP Damian Kosempa (Marquette, 2026)
Kosempa dominated on the bump this afternoon. The RHP induced swing and miss all game with his two-pitch mix. The sidesaddle delivery is calm and works tall and fall. The arm works quick and out of a ¾ slot. Fastball sat 77-81 mph with ride through the zone. The breaking ball was sharp with slurve action, sitting 71-74 mph. Also flashed a change at 74 mph. Final line: CG, SHO, 5 IP, 3 H, 8 K. 

INF Zac Peplinski (Muskego Lakes, 2026)
Peplinski flashed pop today going 1-for-2 with a loud double in his second at-bat for PTA White. Peplinski also displayed smooth actions in the field at both corner spots in the infield. The RHH is a bat to follow the rest of the weekend. 

RHINO 15U - HOMAN

INF/RHP Bryce Loker (Omro, 2026)
Loker gave an interesting look in his start on Thursday night. Fastball sat in the high-70’s and topped 81 mph early. Quick arm that was loose and whippy. Flashed a curveball that had swing and miss potential. Controlled the zone well, throwing 70% strikes. Also had nine strikeouts in his five innings of work. 

RHINO BASEBALL - BOYETTE 

MIF Jailen Veliz (Yorkville, 2026)
Advanced defender, extremely comfortable in field, attacks the ball and moves well. Finished the day 2-for-4 and showed a smooth right-handed stroke with upside.  

OF Dominic Battista (Oswego East, 2026)
Battista emerged as one of the top players at The Rock this weekend. Athletic, 5-foot-11, 165 pound frame with room to grow. Impressed at the plate on Thursday showing off feel for the barrel with three hits including a double. Hands work quickly to the ball and are loose. Explosive swing that worked to the middle of the field. Flashed some power to the pull-side with a towering double. Quick runner out of the box. Above average movements in the OF.  A high-follow 2026 to keep an eye on the rest of the summer. 

SLAMMERS BLACK 2026 

LHP Callum Morrison (Lake Forest, 2026)
Listed at 5-foot-11, 150-pounds with an athletic, lean build and room to fill out. The southpaw impressed throughout his outing with a fastball up to 84 mph from a loose and easy delivery. Struck out 13 in his five innings of work. 

TOP PICK ACADEMY 2026 RED 

RHP Hayden Foster (Kaneland, 2026)
Foster struckout seven in three innings while only allowing one runner on base via a walk. Foster showed off one of the premier pitches of the weekend which was his curveball that sat 64-66 and had hitters buckling. The pitch is an 11/5 with immense depth and late break that played off of his 77-79 mph fastball, keeping the opposition guessing. Foster is a name to keep an eye on as he progresses through his high school career.  

TOP TIER NATIONALS 

RHP Barrett Diaz (Yorkville Christian, 2026)
Tossed a complete game (5 innings) three-hit shutout on Thursday morning over BennieBoys. Diaz mixed speeds well all game and induced weak contact. The fastball topped out at 78 mph.  

OF Colin Quinn (St Rita, 2026)
Quinn impressed both in the field and at the plate today. The R/R OF has a balanced setup with a leg-lift trigger. Hands stay through the zone to control the barrel to all fields. In the outfield, he flashed smooth actions and efficient routes. 

OF Mason Atkins (West Aurora, 2026)
Atkins was on base all three times today for Top Tier. Batting out of the two-hole, he collected two hits and a walk, including a triple. Atkins played left field for Top Tier today and is a bat to keep an eye on moving forward this weekend. 

INF Nehemiah Torres (Glebrook North, 2026)
Torres made every play at shortstop today and made those plays look routine. Torres also went 1-for-1 at the plate with two RBIs and a stolen base.

WHITE SOX ELITE 15U BLACK 

RHP Casey Cooperkawa (Naperville Central, 2026)
Cooperkawa had a productive start for White Sox Elite today going three innings, allowing two hits, an unearned run, and punching out three hitters. Cooperkawa’s fastball topped out at 74 mph. 

RHP/UTL Ryan Gervase (Naperville Central, 2026)
Athletic build with room to fill out. Gervase showed impressive offensive ability today going 3-for-3 with an RBI and two stolen bases. The RHH looks the part in the box with his balanced setup and small leg lift stride. The hands are loose and allow for barrel control. A bat to watch the rest of the weekend. 

WINDY CITY 

RHP Bobby Biggs (Willowbrook, 2026)
Listed at an uber-projectable 6-foot-1, 150-pounds, Biggs dominated throughout his start and showed off a quality three-pitch mix. With an easy operation and loose arm, the right-hander worked up to 79 mph with easy life out of the hand. His go-to secondary was a sharp breaking ball at 67-69 mph, thrown harder with more intent and better bite than our previous look in the winter. Flashed a fading change at 73 mph. Big upside right-hander to know moving forward. 

FRIDAY 

BENNIE BOYS 

INF/RHP Finn Stovall (Harlem, 2026)
Stovall possesses a physical frame, standing at 6-foot, 200-pounds. Fluid movements at the plate with a knack for hard contact. Had three hits on Friday and flashed natural power with an opposite field double. Also showed well defensively at third base.

CHICAGO ELITE WHITE 

RHP Sammy Cortes (N/A, 2026)
Cortes tossed a gem early Friday morning. The RHP induced weak contact all game and changed speeds well throughout the game. The sidesaddle delivery is repeatable with a leg lift that has torque in it. The arm action is short and quick out of a ¾ slot. The fastball sat 74-78 mph, topping out at 79 mph. The breaking ball sat 65-67 mph. Cortes’ final line: CG SHO, 7 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 8 K. 

C Joe Seropian (Andrew, 2026)
Seropian showed to have a strong arm behind the dish for Chicago Elite White, throwing out two would-be base stealers this morning. Seropian flashed game managing ability behind the plate. He also collected a hard-hit single from the right side of the plate.  

COLORADO TRIBE ELITE

LHP/UTL Caleb Korth (Ponderosa, 2026)
Korth was impressive in a loss Friday morning for the Tribe. The southpaw had a stretch-only delivery that was repeatable and stayed closed at foot-strike. The arm action is short and quick with acceleration out front that works from a ¾ slot. The fastball sat 76-79 mph with arm-side run. The breaking ball was a swing and miss offering that also induced weak contact throughout the game that sat 60-65 mph. Korth’s final line: CG, 7 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 10 K. 

GRB STIKS TEAL 

1B Ben Weber (Oconomowoc, 2026)
Weber is 6-foot-3, 210-pounds and uses all of it as he connected on a long double that would have been a home run on any other field on Friday. Weber has a closed stance with a long stride, keeps the barrel in the zone for a long duration in order to get the most contact. Can be very dangerous in any part of the zone with the way he controls himself.  

ILLINOIS LIGHTNING 2026 

OF Nathan Yeagar (Antioch, 2025)
Yeagar stood out immediately with quick/loose hands and a whippy barrel, staying through the zone and working gap-to-gap with sneaky power. Recorded a double to his pull-side while also cruising to a 4.75 down the line on a turn. Athleticism translates easily to the outfield, roaming center field with a quick first step and above-average foot-speed.  

RHP Jackson Rudolph (Wauconda, 2026)
Coming out of the ‘pen, Rudolph attacked opposing hitters with a heavy dose of fastballs, cruising in the 76-79 mph range with life out of the hand. To pair off his fastball, he went to a gradual 11/5 breaking ball at 60-69 mph. Confident demeanor on the mound, filled up the zone with intent.   

UTL Evan Mantas (Prospect, 2026)
Mantas was all over the barrel today. The LHH went 3-for-4 with four RBIs, with one of those three hits being a triple. The LHH has a balanced setup in the box with a slightly open stance. Slight leg lift load onto the back leg paired with whippy hands that allow for barrel control through the zone.  

OF Aiden Nelson (N/A, 2026)
Nelson went 2-for-4 with two doubles and a walk out of the leadoff spot for ITB today. Nelson was a spark plug out of the leadoff spot with a smooth left-handed swing and a knack for getting on-base.  

MASH 15U BLACK  

RHP Joe Ackerman (Holy Angels, 2026) 
Standing at an athletic 5-foot-10, 147-pounds, Ackerman was dominant in his start on Friday evening. Out of an easy and clean delivery, Ackerman ran his fastball up to 83 mph and sat in the 80-82 mph range throughout his 3.2 innings of work. He also was able to spin in a breaking ball with late downer bite that generated plenty of whiffs, and projects as an out-pitch in the future. He eventually struck out seven of the 11 batters he faced enroute to the win. 

MIDWEST HALOS SCOUT 

LHP Brenden Larson (Muskego, 2026)
The southpaw impressed over his seven innings of work, compiling a complete-game shutout while scattering three hits, eight strikeouts and one walk. 

OUTLAWS BASEBALL 15U BLACK 

INF Simon Malcolm (Dunlap, 2026)
Malcolm impressed with his advanced athleticism on Friday. Made a couple of nice plays at shortstop with soft hands and an easy arm action. At the plate, Malcolm has an aggressive approach that looks to do damage. Leg kick load with loose hands that work to the ball. Showed natural pop with a triple to the pull-side. Quick out of the box as well. 

P2P MILLER THORNEY 

OF Danny Scheller (Coon Rapids, MN, 2026)
The 2022 PBR Junior Future Games alumni caught our eye with a strong, athletic 5-foot-11, 180-pound frame. Looks the part in the box with a wide stance, hands are quick to the ball. Showed advanced bat speed and effortless power, crushed a double to the pull-side gap on Friday. Showed off an advanced arm in the outfield, throwing out a runner at the plate from center field. High follow player that is ranked No. 3 in Minnesota’s 2026 class.

RHINO 15U - HOMAN 

RHP/INF Carter Valleskey (Valders, 2026)
Valleskey gave an upside look during his start on Friday evening. Projectable 6-foot-2, 170-pound frame with long levers. Long arm action that is clean and loose. Fastball topped at 82 mph early and settled in at 79-81 mph. Used the fastball to get swings and misses up in the zone, also forced weak contact. Exciting arm to watch as he develops. Currently ranked No. 19 Wisconsin’s 2026 class.  

RHINO WISCONSIN 15U - CARTER 

INF Nolan Cheever (Oshkosh West, 2026)
Cheever flashed upside ability at the plate today out of the leadoff spot for Rhino. The RHH went 2-for-4 at the dish, showing the ability to work on the barrel.  

SLAMMERS BLACK 

C Logan Young (Mundelein, 2026)
Young flashed upside on both sides of the ball Friday. The athletic backstop is a willing blocker and worked hard for his pitching staff all game. He impressed the most with his bat and clutch hitting late in the game. The RHH went 2-for-3 with two loud singles out of the three-hole from the right side. A bat to watch for the rest of the weekend. 

RHP Chase Lockwood (Libertyville, 2026)
Lockwood impressed on the bump for Slammers today. The high-waisted RHP has a simple and repeatable delivery that moves smoothly. The arm works clean and has some whip out of a ¾ slot. The fastball sat 79-82 mph, topping out at 83 mph. This is a three mph jump from when we saw him just last week at the Slammer Scout Day event. He also spun a sharp breaking ball that sat 67-73 mph, changing the speeds of it throughout the outing. Final line: 6 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 8 K. 

TOP PICK ACADEMY 2026 RED 

OF Cole Latimer (Dekalb, 2026)
Latimer found barrels today for TPA and displayed athleticism on both sides of the ball. Latimer batted out of the two-hole and went 2-for-2 with a pair of loud doubles. The RHH has a confident presence in the box with an approach to do damage. Latimer also hopped up on the bump and was an athletic mover downhill with a fastball that touched 81 mph multiple times. A two-way prospect to follow the rest of the weekend. 

C Charlie Major (Saint Charles North, 2026)
Major impressed us behind the dish and in the box today. Behind the dish he shows to be a game manager for his pitching staff and is a willing blocker. At the plate from the right side, he went 1-for-2 with a barreled-up double.  

TOP TIER CENTRAL AMERICANS 

RHP/1B Bryson Houchens (St. Joseph-Ogden, 2026)
Houchens came in as relief, striking out four of the eight batters he faced. Fastball sat 77-80 mph with run through the zone. Slider was in the upper 60s and was thrown for strikes. Houchens also showed the ability to field his position, assisting the final two outs of his appearance with a 1-6-3 double play. 

TOP TIER NATIONALS 

RHP Matthew Cook (Hanover Central, 2026)
Cook worked strongly with a three-pitch arsenal to go five innings with eight strikeouts. Fastball sat 78-80 mph, T81 mph with above-average carry and arm-side run. He was able to get in on right-handed hitters, causing broken bats. A curveball in the low-70s kept hitters off balance along with a 77 mph change-up.   

TOP TIER NAVY 

RHP Matthew Nyblom (Amos Alonzo Stagg, 2026)
Nyblom showed an interesting look on Friday with an effortless delivery that topped out at 81 mph early and settled in at 78-80 mph. Balanced motion and commanded the zone with a loose, fluid arm action. Used a breaking ball with 11/5 shape to force weak contact. Went five innings and allowed no hits with seven strikeouts.  

WINDY CITY 

RHP Noah Edison (Willowbrook, 2026) 
Edison made for a quality look in Windy City’s 2-0 win on Friday. Listed at a projectable 6-foot, 170-pounds, Edison is an athletic mover down the mound. Working with fluidity, and a clean, loose arm, Edison sat in the 78-81 mph range throughout the entirety of his seven inning start. As for his offspeeds, he featured both a big breaking ball with 11/5 action, and a slider with tight, short break in the mid-70s. He finished his seven innings of work allowing just one hit, two walks and also tallied 10 strikeouts.  

Saturday 

BENNIE BOYS

RHP Logan Thill (Clinton, 2026) 
Thill showed a quality two-pitch mix in his start on Saturday afternoon. Fastball sat 78-81 mph with a clean arm action. Threw a two-plane breaking ball in the zone and buried it with two strikes to get swings and misses. Final line: CG, 4H, 0R, 5Ks.

BREW STATE 

INF Sam Wells (Brookfield East, 2026)
The righty finished with two RBIs and a double in a loss for the Brew State 15U team. Was consistently on the barrel in his at bats, displaying high exit velocities by squaring up multiple pitches in different plate appearances. Closes an open stance, allows him to whip the barrel through the zone, generating easy power through his lower half. Stands at a projectable 5-foot-9, 142-pounds with room to fill out as an incoming sophomore. 

C Carter Mantei (Brookfield East, 2026)
Mantei continued to show growth from behind the plate, as the right-hander was 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Brew State. The 2026 graduate stands at 6-feet, 160-pounds, trending up in growth as he continues his prep career. A slight leg kick paired with quiet hands allowed Mantei, who took advantage of strikes in the zone, to send three pitches to the outfield during his at bats, including a ball over the centerfielder’s head in his first plate appearance.  

CANGELOSI SPARKS NORTH - WHITE 2026 

CIF Jalen Gonzalez (St. Patrick's, 2026)
5-foot-9, 160-pound athletic frame impressed on both sides today for Cangelosi Sparks North - White. At the plate, Gonzalez went 2-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs. From the right side of the dish, Gonzalez shows a balanced setup with a slightly open stance. The stride is minimal with a slight leg lift before the hands work through an uphill path with intent to lift the ball. At the hot corner, Gonzalez exhibited range moving to both sides and flashed a strong arm to fit the position.  

CHICAGO ELITE BLACK 

OF Keegan O'Bryan (Bibich, IN, 2026)
O’Bryan was all over the barrel this weekend. Left-handed hitter that sets up in a wide stance with a toe tap load and hands that are short to the ball. Took a fastball on the outer-half for a two RBI double on Saturday morning. Also showed advanced instincts on the base-paths stealing multiple bases on the weekend.  

CHICAGO ELITE WHITE 

LHP Will Quinn (Providence Catholic, 2026)
Quinn started on the mound and impressed going five innings with one earned run, three hits, three walks and striking out four. Fastball had slight glove side cut at 74-75 mph, topping 76 mph. Used breaking ball early in the count second time through the order at 63 mph. 

COLORADO TRIBE ELITE 

RHP Logan King (Pueblo West, 2026)
Listed at 6-foot, 185-pounds, King gave our staff an upside look during his relief outing on Saturday. On the mound, King is a simple mover and pairs it with a clean arm action that could continue to add velocity as he develops as a prospect. During his four innings of work, King sat in the mid-to-high 70s, and he paired it with a hard thrown slider that flashed some late cutting action. He also spun in a big 11/5 breaking ball in the mid-60s that earned a handful of whiffs. He finished his outing with seven strikeouts, and allowed just one run on three hits.  

HIT MACHINE 

LHP/OF Brett Rybarczyk (Sheboygan North, 2026)
Rybarczyk gave an upside look out of the bullpen for Hit Machine on Saturday night. Projectable frame at 6-foot-1, 165-pounds. Athletic motion on the mound, arm is clean and loose. Fastball was up to 80 mph and got swings and misses in the zone. Showed a low-70s breaking ball with hard bite that missed barrels. An intriguing arm to follow as the summer goes on.  

ILLINOIS PREMIER - KENNER 

RHP Niko Villacci (Oswego East, 2026)
Villacci pitched from a loose, high ¾ arm slot that allowed his curveball in the low 60s to be deceptive. Fastball was 78-84 mph with carry through the zone and easy life out of the hand. Upside arm with clear arm-strength and some feel to pitch.  

IMPACT SPORTS ACADEMY BLACK 2026 

RHP Colin Reddy (Appleton North, 2026)
Reddy came on the scene and dominated in his outing for Impact Sports Academy Black, sending them to the Quarterfinals behind a complete game performance. The right-hander, standing at an athletic 6-foot-1, 165-pounds, twirled a two-hitter, mixing three pitches effectively against a tough lineup. Fastball reached 82 mph, ranging in the upper-70s. The slider and change worked as complements to the fastball, as both were presented as out-pitches and garnered numerous swings and misses, including eight strikeouts on the evening.  

RHP Braylon Brantner (Hortonville, 2026)
Brantner emerged as one of the more polished pitchers from the weekend, as the to-be sophomore worked six innings in a quality start for Impact Sports Academy Black to win their pool. Fired a fastball in the mid-to-high 70s, and paired it with a curveball and change as off-speed pitches in his arsenal. Worked efficiently on the mound while controlling hitters at the plate. Those traits allowed the right-hander to go six innings, punching out seven batters and only walking three in a win.  

MASH 15U BLACK  

RHP/UTL Brody Illa (Eagan, 2026)
Illa started the game for MASH and showed well. The PBRJFG22 alum for the state of Minnesota showed well in his start going 2.2 IP while giving up two hits, zero runs, and punching out three. Primarily throwing the fastball, it worked between 80-81 mph in the outing. The breaking ball had swing and miss qualities, showing out-pitch potential moving forward.  

OF Carson Parks (Wayzata, 2026)
Listed at an athletic 6-foot-2, 175-pounds. LHH that has impressed across a handful of looks so far this weekend. In the box, Parks utilizes a smooth, simple LHH swing that stays in the zone, and pairs it with strong hands that are capable of driving the ball hard to all parts of the field. On Thursday, Parks ripped a deep line drive to the right-center field gap that he legged out for a triple. Then on Saturday, Parks continued to stay on the barrel as he lined a single to center field which brought home a run.  

MASH 15U MAROON 

RHP Dain Pechacek (Prescott HS, 2025)
Earned the win on the mound Saturday against Top Tier Navy. Pitched 6.1 innings with nine strikeouts, two walks, four hits and one earned run. Showed repeatable mechanics with a high over-the-top release. Had a controlling presence on the mound and was tough with runners on base. Fastball worked up to 79 mph and sat 77-78 mph with slight arm-side run. Threw his curveball in any count that sat at 63-66 mph with a 12/6 shape. 

OUTLAWS BASEBALL 15U BLACK 

RHP Andrew Dawson (Tremont HS, 2026)
Fastball topped at 85 mph and sat 80-84 mph. Threw the fastball to the glove side early in the count. Looked to put hitters away with his hard slider that sat 76-77 mph and had a 10/4 shape. Has an athletic build and throws with intent. Works his backside through well. Upside right-hander to know moving forward.  

PRIME ATHLETICS 15U 

RHP/ INF Carson Norris (Lakes Community, 2026)
Athletic, high upside frame at 6-foot-2, 190-pounda. Dominated on the mound Saturday, going six innings giving up one run and tallying six strikeouts. Fastball topped at 82 mph early in the game and settled in around 78-80 mph. Quick arm that worked on the outer half of the plate to force weak contact.  

PUMA ACADEMY 15U 

INF London Stanley (Union Grove, 2026)
Stanley, who showed well at the Kenosha Preseason ID earlier this year, was effective at the plate for Puma Academy on Saturday. The righty sent a two-RBI single to the opposite field to give his team the lead late in the game, where they eventually tied with PTA White. Stands at a long 6-foot-3, 175-pound frame, projecting as an athlete and prospect to monitor on the infield in the future. 

OF Alexander Smith (Kenosha Indian Trail, 2025)
Smith entered the tournament at a solid 5-foot-11, 160-pound frame, projecting with more room to grow into his body. The outfielder had a quality presence in the middle of the order for Puma Academy, going 2-for-2 with a run scored, an RBI, and a double. The righty did it all for his team, as he swung a hot bat all weekend prior to his play on Saturday. Smith was only retired twice in his first three games. 

RHINO BASEBALL - BOYETTE 

OF Dominic Batista (Oswego East, 2026)
Went 3-for-4 on the day with two doubles and a single. Each ball was hit hard, and showed power to all fields. Batista has a smooth lefty swing and is able to get off his A-swing each time with balance through contact. Showed well-above average base running, taking extra bases and advancing on balls in the dirt.  

RHP Jackson Schlott (Plainfield North, 2026)
Pitched four innings on Saturday allowing no earned runs on nine strikeouts, two hits, and no walks. Started off hitters with a heavy fastball topping 84 mph, sitting 80-83 mph. Put hitters away with a solid breaking ball that sat 72-75 mph. Also showed a CH at 70 mph. Throws with intent, has a strong build with a solid lower-half.  

RHP Charlie Caseroli (Plainfield North, 2027)
Pitched in relief on Saturday. Throws out of a hybrid windup and has a controlling presence on the mound. Mixed up hitter timing with differently timed deliveries. Showed above--average fastball command on both sides of the plate, topping out at 72 mph, sitting 70-71 mph. Has an above average breaking ball that had a 10/4 shape that he threw in all counts. Showed a clean arm and has plenty of room to fill out.  

Slammers Black 2026 

LHP Nico Harper (Libertyville, 2026)
A very successful outing on all fronts, striking out 13 hitters with only one walk. Harper fired a no-hitter with a fastball that sat 78-82 mph, T84 mph as well as a curveball in the mid 60s to keep hitters off balance. The delivery was effortless and smooth paired with a flexible, low ¾ arm. Through all six innings, the ball continued to come out easy and fluid. 

OF Connor Brockway (Vernon Hills, 2026)
Brockway showed off his above-average bat-to-ball skills, getting the barrel to two hard-hit doubles. A tall frame with quick hands and an on-plane swing. 

STRIKES BASEBALL CLUB 

RHP/INF Johnny Nelson (Oak Park River-Forest, 2026)
Athletic frame at 6-foot-2 180-pounds. Impressed on the mound during his complete-game performance on Saturday morning. Started out the game sitting in the low-80’s but gained velocity as the game went on, sitting 83-86 mph and T87 in the fifth inning. Mixed in a sharp breaking-ball in the low-70s to keep hitters off balance. Finished the game with 11Ks.

TOP PICK ACADEMY 2026 RED

CF/RHP Cole Latimer (Dekalb, 2026)
An athletic frame that displayed obvious bat-to-ball skills going 3-for-3 at the plate. Continued to hit the ball hard in pattern with the rest of the weekend. On the mound, showed a fastball that was 76-79 mph as well as a slider in the mid 60s. A loose and efficient arm.

TOP TIER CENTRAL AMERICANS

RHP Parker Fitch (St. Joe Ogden, 2027)
Fitch appeared in 7.0 innings striking out 14 hitters while only allowing three hits. A tall and lean frame with room to put on muscle. Fastball sat 78-81 mph and was effortless out of the hand, showed the ability to get in on right-handed hitters. His slider proved to be the out-pitch in the low 70s, and was maneuvered throughout the zone. Fitch is a quick arm that throws many strikes and shows a sense of comfort on the mound.

TOP TIER NATIONALS

1B Jhames Holley III (Homewood-Flossmor, 2026)
Went 1-for-2 on the day with four RBIs and a run scored. Made a big difference with one swing of the bat late in the game with a grand slam that put Top Tier ahead. Has a smooth lefty uppercut swing and the barrel stays long in the zone. Has a strong build with a solid lower-half.

CANGELOSI SPARKS NORTH - WHITE 2026

RHP Warren Furio (Lake Park HS, 2026)
Started pitching for the Sparks, threw five strong innings completing the game allowing just one hit, no runs, two walks and striking out four. His fastball topped 81 mph and sat 74-78 mph. His breaking ball sat 63-65 mph and also showed a 63 mph change. Has quick mechanics, and gets his backside through. He’s a broad-shouldered, strong-bodied kid with potential to fill out and add on even more velocity. 

CHICAGO ELITE BLACK

LHP Keegan O’Bryan (Bibich (IN), 2026)
Started pitching on Sunday, didn’t allow a hit through 4.1 innings. Had a controlled windup with repeatable mechanics and a good tempo with arm-speed. Fastball topped 75 mph and sat 70-74 mph, maintained velocity late in the game. Fastball worked up in the zone with slight arm-side run. The breaking ball had an 11/5 shape and sat 58-62 mph. Showed a change as well at 66 mph. Showed his ability to throw strikes, only getting in two three-ball counts all day and didn’t walk a single hitter. Went 1-for-4 at the plate and stole two  bases. He played center field after pitching as well.

COLORADO TRIBE ELITE

LHP/OF Caleb Korth (Ponderosa, CO, 2026)
After showing well on the mound Friday, Korth showed his two-way capability at the plate on Sunday. Athletic 5-foot-11, 160-pound frame that flashed bat-speed during a three-hit performance, including a triple. Stays through the ball and on-plane with a compact swing. Also was up to 81 mph during his two-innings of work on the mound. Legitimate two-way talent. 

MASH 15U BLACK 

C Patrick Karlen (Two Rivers, 2026)
Karlen was on the barrel multiple times during his plate appearances on Sunday, finishing 1-for-2 with a run scored and three RBIs. The No. 7 ranked prospect in Minnesota’s 2026 class presented a quick bat, flashing his hands through the zone while displaying his natural pull-side power. The former JFG participant was a key part in the middle of the order for the MASH 15U Black team, who took home a 10-1 run-rule victory on Sunday. 

RHP Ryan Christiansen (Apple Valley, 2026)
Entering the tournament as the No. 1 rated player in the class of 2026 for the state of Minnesota, Christiansen showed well in his outing on the mound. Standing at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds, the right-hander projects well as a pitching prospect, showcasing athletic movements and the ability to field his position. Earned the win on the bump by working 4.2 innings in his start, striking out four batters. Struggled with command at times, but was able to control his opponent by only allowing one hit, utilizing a fastball that got up to 84 mph. Flipped up a curveball and change up to complement his fastball, keeping hitters off-balance for a majority of his outing. 

UTIL Cruz Sturm (Benilde-St. Margaret’s, 2026)
Sturm presented quiet and low hands in his stance, going 2-for-2 on Sunday with three RBIs and a double in a run-rule victory. Utilized the pull-side multiple times, driving pitches to left field to earn base hits. Sturm was a key contributor in the order, and matched Karlen with those three RBIs on the day, tied for a team-high. Stands at a sturdy 5-foot-10, 172-pound frame, allowing him to generate power through his lower-half at the plate.
