LINCOLN, CA - Anticipation and expectations for this loaded event were put on hold a week due to inclement weather but the skies cleared allowing for an exciting day of underclass California baseball. The roster talent robust, featuring 3 college commitments, 8 nationally ranked players, 9 state ranked players and an ample amount of uncommitted underclass talent. The ability to hit was on display with multiple players showing next level hitting capabilities. Coupled with slick fielding infielders and outfielders with range, this underclass event looked more like an upperclass event.

Technology dominated the event with video production, live stream, TrackMan, Blast Motion, Video Production, Twitter, Instagram and scout eyes working non-stop to showcase each player. Stay tuned for workout stats leaders, TrackMan data and Blast Motion data metrics coming out later this week. With so much talent on display it was easy to find ten standout players to feature in this version of PBR - California Quick Hits.

Ross Clark - The 6-foot-4 right-hander showed mature feel on the mound and the ability to command his three-pitch mix. Inevitable velocity gains will boost his game status and could put him in the 2024 MLB Draft discussion.
JP Acosta - Tools and swagger carried Acosta well throughout the showcase. The switch-hitter showed next level hitting ability from both sides of the plate and the defensive skills needed to stick at short.
Ben Reiland - The 2020 Future Games standout has shown steady overall growth since our last viewing.  You get the feeling watching Reiland that there is a ton more in the tank. He has such a mature approach and makes it all look effortless.
Brock Thompson - Our last viewing was at the Future Games hitting a walkoff for Team California. Thompson is so fundamentally sound with his overall game and has international baseball experience. He just hit a growth spurt and you know when it all catches up with his game, colleges will come knocking.
Noah Andrunas - The uncommitted sophomore posted a solid outing on a cold Saturday night. Features a 3-pitch mix, fastball topped 85, slider 69, and change 75.66, 2nd in the underclass comparatively
