Body: 6-0, 200-pounds. Physical build, strength present with lean muscles currently. Projects for next level Hit: RHH. High hands, open stance with anchored backside. Slight kick allows him to stay in hinge and rotate when he wants to. Lower half is strong and able to control forward move before stopping and getting firm. Powerful swing with great rotations and handspeed to get through the zone. Very good feel for the barrel and ability to be on time and in the zone for a long time. Easy linedrives jumping off the bat to the middle of the field with great direction; power there and will be an asset. 19 gs Max Rotational Acceleration, 73.6 Max Batspeed, 22 Max Handspeed, 63% On Plane Efficiency, 55.6 Hard Hit% Power: 93.70 mph exit velocity Arm: RH. C - mph. INF - 74.00 mph. OF - mph. Loose and easy arm action from 3B. Time to release was quick. Ability to throw from different angles when need be. 4/5 accurate throws in the workout. Defense: Probably the best defensive actions over any 3B in the underclass event. Showed light feet and soft hands. Angles his feet and body towards 1B when fielding to avoid waisted movement. Clean funnel up the body and exchanges were fluid. Run: 7.58 runner in the 60.

Uncommitted - Six-foot, 200-pounds. Large, sturdy, strong frame. Significant strength in the lower half. Projectable body that should get stronger with continued physical development. Defensively Borba showed very good footwork and body control to go with soft hands and quick/clean transfers. Present arm strength allowed him to make throws from all angles while handling the backhand and double play turns with ease. At the plate Borba really projects with his present power and bat speed that allowed him to get the barrel in the zone and keep it there throughout the swing from a slightly open, high hands stance. Incorporates the lower half very well using it to generate power. Sprayed balls to all fields on a line. On the mound he stays tall on the backside before driving down the mound with his strong lower half through to a 3/4 slot and out front release point. Shows feel for three-pitches with his curveball flashing massive potential with its tight spinning depth and 11/5 shape. Worked fastball black-to-black while staying down in the zone. Changeup is developing still, but works it down in the zone

PBR CA STATE GAMES - Large frame with some strength currently and space to keep shaping up. Showed future two-way skills. Slightly open stance with crouch showing quick bat making contact out front showing loft through the zone. Bat is loud regularly on the FB and looking to do damage with lots of it occurring during the games. Moves well at 3rd with the arm strength to stay at the position and feet allowing him to make plays. On mound showed projectable stuff during 1 inning pitched striking out two and walking two. Hands start wide creating momentum down the hill and allowing long full swing over average front knee to H-3/4; arm is loose and when timing was on showed ability to pound the zone. FB 72-78 showing swing and miss through the top of the zone and 2-seam variety to armside; worked FB velo up as inning continued. CB 62-65 with 12/6 shape showing loose spin having late break; flashed a couple that had bite and projects well. 2023 Player to know and follow.

Sporting some present strength in the upper-half of his developing, 5-foot-10, 165-pound frame, Borba hit in the 4-hole for a talented California Blues roster, and had a big two-out single driving in the first run of the semi-final game. Against some big velocity, he showcased the ability to cover the entire plate, singling to the opposite field before turning around a sharp line out to shortstop. Crouched and open to start, his hands load deeper, down and back before working the barrel uphill through the zone. His hands are quick and provide for coverage of the inside portion of the plate, and he gets solid use of the lower-half with more power likely on the way. He has clean hands in the field with a quick arm that shows some carry across the diamond, and should continue as a corner infielder moving forwar

Rising Stars Showcase - Five-foot-10, 165-pounds, medium-large frame, squared shoulders with wiry strength down through the wrists. Lower half is strong and thick down through the calves. At the plate Borba shows a quiet, balanced setup. Uses a short leg lift and stride trigger to initiate swing. Hands are quick through the zone and he maintains barrel on a consistent path keeping the barrel in the zone a long time on a slight uphill path. Is short to the ball and long through it. Finish is balanced. Defensively Borba shows athleticism in getting to and attacking balls and playing through them. Exchanges are clean and he shows plenty of arm to make accurate throws. Also shows the ability to throw from multiple angles with carry. Has some range which projects well at third base.
