PBR Florida All-State HS Team Announced

With the conclusion of the high school baseball season last week, the PBR Florida staff has put together it's first All-State HS team to highlight the list of players who helped lead their team throughout the season. Below is a breakdown of the position players and pitchers who made the list along with their final stats for the season.

Jose Garcia C / Doral Academy Charter, FL / 2017Rankings State Rank:82 POS:10
C- The uncommitted senior finished with a .446 BA to go along with 10 HRs, 11 2Bs, and 35 RBIs on the season. |
Jacob Teter 1B / LHP / Eau Gallie, FL / 2017Rankings State Rank:85 POS:4
1B- The Florida Southern recruit finished with a .417 BA to go along with 8 HRs, 5 2Bs, and 32 RBIs on the season. |
Chris Seise SS / 3B / West Orange, FL / 2017MIF- The Central Florida recruit capped of an impressive senior year with a .444 BA to go along with 8 HRs, 11 SBs, and 29 RBIs on the season. Seise has also climbed his way to the top spot in the Florida 2017 Class. |
Jeter Downs SS / 3B / Pace, FL / 2017MIF- The Miami recruit finished with a .412 BA to go along with 12 HRs, 31 SBs, and 37 RBIs on the season. |
Austin Garofalo SS / 2B / South Walton, FL / 2017MIF- The uncommitted senior finished with a .485 BA to go along with 15 HRs, 11 2Bs, and 43 RBIs on the season. Garofalo was also the HR leader for the FHSAA. |
Henry Anthony Vilar SS / 2B / Westminster Christian, FL / 2018MIF- The Miami recruit finished with a .500 BA to go along with 10 HRs, 10 2Bs, and 33 RBIs on the season. |
Joe Perez RHP / 3B / Archbishop McCarthy, FL / 20173B- The Miami recruit finished with a .526 BA to go along with 9 HRs, 14 2Bs, and 37 RBIs on the season. |
Eric Kennedy OF / Calvary Christian, FL / 2018Rankings State Rank:90 POS:22
OF- The Alabama recruit was a catalyst at the plate this season for the undefeated (30-0) Calvary Christian Warriors. Kennedy finished with a .549 BA to go along with 11 2Bs, 27 SBs, and 39 RBIs on the season. |
Robby Martin OF / RHP / Jefferson, FL / 2018OF- The Florida State recruit put together an impressive junior year with a .420 BA to go along with 9 HRs, 7 2Bs, and 44 RBIs. Martin was also the RBI leader for the FHSAA. |
Carl Gindl OF / Pensacola Catholic , FL / 2017OF- The Mississippi recruit finished with a .448 BA to go along with 5 HRs, 12 2Bs, and 35 RBIs on the season.

Pitchers
Logan Allen LHP / 1B / University, FL / 2017SP- The Florida International recruit continued his unbelievable high school career by capping off his senior season with a 14-0 record in 15 appearances with a .35 ERA and 150 Ks in 81 IP. Allen also threw a no-hitter in his final appearance to go along with being the FHSAA leader in strikeouts. |
Bret Neilan RHP / Timber Creek, FL / 2018SP- The Stetson recruit put together a stellar junior season by compiling a 15-0 record in 15 appearances to go along with a .84 ERA and 133 Ks in 99.2 IP. Neilan's final start of the season helped push Timber Creek HS to the the state title game where they defeated University HS for the 9A championship. |
Connor Churchill RHP / East Lake, FL / 2017SP- The Florida recruit had an impressive senior season with a 10-1 record in 16 appearances to go along with a .50 ERA and 122 Ks in 83.1 IP. |
