OK Rankings Update 2024

The 2024 class just continues to get deeper and deeper. Through our preseason events and the start of the spring high school season, we have go to get more and deeper looks at many of the top '24 prospects and they hand consistently impressed. Below, we take an in-depth look at the top rankings risers, newcomers, and the top 10 along with the full updated rankings.

Jaxon Hyde-Hererra C / RHP / Putnam City West, OK / 2024One of the most physically advanced players not only in the state, but nation wide is up 2 spots to No. 6. Hyde-Hererra posses the top pop time of any player we have ever measured in a showcase setting to go along with eye-popping strength at the plate. The right-hander also puts his arm strength on display on the mound, running his fastball up to 92. The young prospect has all of the tools and as he continues to polish his game, he will continue rise in the state and national rankings.

Tyler Davis RHP / 3B / Owasso, OK / 2024Rankings StateRank: 16 / POS: 4
The right-hander is up 10 spots to No. 16 after an impressive OK Preseason All-State showing and a strong start to his spring. Davis features a mid 80s fastball that can creep into the upper 80s, but even more impressive is his college ready slider with 2700+ spin. |
Garrett Baker RHP / OF / Edmond Memorial , OK / 2024Rankings StateRank: 21 / POS: 6
Backer see his name shoot up 35 ranks to No. 21 by showing off some velo at the OK Preseason All-State, and making another jump into the spring season. The right-hander pounds the zone with not only a mid 80s fastball, but an advanced curveball and changeup as well.

Jace Arnold RHP / 3B / Charles Page, OK / 2024Rankings StateRank: 25/ POS: 9
Arnold has continued to get better and better on both sides of the ball every time we see him, but it was his impressive performance on the mound that sees him shoot up up 27 spots in this rankings. Arnold is a strike thrower in the mid 80s and posses a breaking ball that is on it way to being elite.

JayShaun Sykes 2B / SS / Moore, OK / 2024Rankings StateRank: 30 / POS: 2
The quick twitch middle infielder is up 24 spots after ripping off a 6.85 60 and 90 exit velo at the OK Preseason All-Sate. Sykes also hits at the top of the order for Moore and starts at second base.

Blake Aziere 3B / 2B / Stillwater , OK / 2024Jumping into the rankings at 31 Aziere may turn out to be a primary postion player down the road, but right now the low 80s strike thrower will have a chance to help Stillwater to compete for a state tournament. The right-handed hitter shows a clean swing with sneaky pop.

Weston Thomas OF / RHP / Piedmont , OK / 2024Rankings StateRank: 37 / POS: 7
It's all about project with Thomas who is up 6 spots after showing even more size and athleticism at the OK Preseason All-State. Thomas saw his 60 drop below seven and his exit velo approach 90. The 6-foot-5, 180-pound outfielder still has plenty of room to continue to add size and strengh.

Carter Sterling 3B / SS / Oklahoma Christian, OK / 2024Rankings StateRank: 39 / POS: 2
Another long and projectable athlete making a jump in this rankings, Sterling makes the biggest jump of any player, up 49 spots. The right-handed hitter shows a short stroke that finds barrels despite his length. Defensively, Sterling shows better movement patters due to some added strength and coordination. Still much more to come for Sterling as he continues to get stronger.

Logan Stevens RHP / 1B / Bixby, OK / 2024Rankings StateRank: 45 / POS: 12
The 6-foot right hander has moved up 35 spots as his added strength has seen his fastball jump as high as 83. Stevens throws with a clean and fluid arm action and downhill tilt that will make it tough on hitters.

Daxtyn Clark OF / 2B / Shawnee , OK / 2024Rankings StateRank: 58 / POS: 13
Clark rises 20 spots after dropping his 60 to a 6.75 and raising his exit velo to 85 mph thanks to an addition of size and strength. The 5-foot-6 outfielder also shows an above average arm from the outfield.

Tanner Norman 1B / RHP / Carl Albert, OK / 2024Rankings StateRank: 59 / POS: 4
One of the top left-handed power bats in the class, Norman posted an max exit velo of 92 at the OK Preseason All-State. Norman has had a hot start of Carl Albert hitting in the middle of their order. The 6-foot-4, 220 1B is up 23 spots.
