FL 2017 ProCase: 2017 & 2019 Graduates Breakdown

Despite the ProCase mainly focusing on the 2018 class, each year we invite a few current senior's preparing for this year's draft and a few of the top rising juniors. This year we had two from the 2017 class in Matt Golda and Justin Farmer as well as four from the 2019 class in Logan Keller, Isaac Nunez, Judson Fabian and Tyler Callihan. Today we take a look at their breakdowns below.

Logan Keller SS / 3B / Lake Brantley, FL / 2019Alabama recruit. Keller continues to get better every time we see him. He has a long athletic frame, that has put on 10-15 pounds and cine easily put on 15-20 more. The actions and hands work, the frame projects him as a potential above average defending third baseman. He has a balanced, short swing with a line drive, gap-to-gap approach. He can get long at times, but as he continues to face velocity that should shorten. He showed some present pull side power in batting practice and should have much more to come. High follow

Matthew Golda SS / 2B / Inspiration Academy, FL / 2017FAU recruit. Golda appears to have filled out with some solid muscle, especially in his upper half. He has broad, strong shoulders, but does not seem stiff. He still maintains his smooth and easy defensive actions with a plus glove and plenty of range and arm to stick at short. He ran a 6.92 60 yard dash time, but plays the game much quicker especially defensively. The added strength appears to have helped immensely offensively, where he showed the ability to drive the ball gap-to-gap. There is still some steepnees to the path, but he has a feel for the barrel and the added strength keeps the top hand strong through the one. The defense really plays up and the bat continues to progress. Should have a chance to be taken come this year's draft.

Justin Farmer OF / RHP / Riverview, FL / 2017Florida recruit. Farmer is extremely long, lean and athletic. He has a lot of quick twitch with tools across the board. He ran a 6.95 60 yard dash, was 85 from the outfield and had a 95 mph exit velocity. These tools translated to lound rounds of batting practice where he showed quick hands with present pull power. The power also translated to the game where he had a home run to left. There is some swing and miss and some length in the swing at times, but he is overall very athletic and shows the ability to make the adjustments. Should have an opportunity to hear his name called at some point in this years draft.

Judson Fabian OF / LHP / Trinity Catholic, FL / 2019Rankings State Rank:6 POS:2 Overall Rank:13 POS:4
Florida recruit. 6.77 60-yard dash with athletic strides. Long frame that has added some meat to it since the fall. He is a layer thicker now, and the speed remains. Wide-shouldered, good looking athlete. Stands out on the field. Impressive in the outfield with a long loose arm that was very accurate. He can play centerfield now, but may continue to add to the frame and become a corner guy in the future. Jeff Francoer type. The ball sounds different coming off his bat, he is balanced and the bat stays in the zone for a long time. Hands are strong, and they have advanced quickness that help make up for a load that can get segmented at times. Very quiet pre pitch. Short stride. Path works level with a high finish. Overall he's athletic with a plus bat and big potential.

Isaac Nunez SS / 2B / Lake Brantley, FL / 2019Rankings State Rank:8 POS:2 Overall Rank:20 POS:6
Florida recruit. The athletic shortstop shows plus defensive actions in the workout and the l game. Has a lot of confidence in his hands and when he doesn't try to do too much can make every play. An average runner, he is twitchy at short with plenty of range. Also showed off an above average arm, topping out at 89 mph. Offensively, the right handed hitter has present pull side power. He is strong and short to the ball in batting practice. Can get long at times in games, but when he works to the middle of the field everything works. Overall he's athletic with a plus glove and big potential in the bat. He also got on the mound where he has a short arm action and showed off his strong arm at 86-88 mph.

Tyler Callihan SS / 3B / Providence, FL / 2019Rankings State Rank:9 POS:3 Overall Rank:22 POS:7
South Carolina recruit. The young infielder has leaned out and continues to get stronger. Defensively, he shows plenty of arm for the left side with soft hands and quality footwork. Has a chance to be above average third baseman. Offensively, the left handed hitter doesn't get cheated. He is aggressive to the ball, and has strong hands with a feel for the barrel. He showed present pull power, but really shined in the game where he consistently squared the ball up
