05/20/17 - Florida recruit. Farmer is extremely long, lean and athletic. He has a lot of quick twitch with tools across the board. He ran a 6.95 60 yard dash, was 85 from the outfield and had a 95 mph exit velocity. These tools translated to lound rounds of batting practice where he showed quick hands with present pull power. The power also translated to the game where he had a home run to left. There is some swing and miss and some length in the swing at times, but he is overall very athletic and shows the ability to make the adjustments. Should have an opportunity to hear his name called at some point in this years draft.
10/16/16- Florida recruit. 6-foot, 185 pounder with a lean, athletic build on a live body. At the plate he has a slightly open stance with a high hand set and a leg kick for rhythm and timing. Above average bat speed and quick hands through the zone allows him hit hard line drives while with some pull side pop. When he sits back and stays balanced in his lower half, he can drive the ball deep into the gaps for extra base hits. Aggressive runner on the base paths. Displays athleticism, range, and quick first step to the ball in the outfield.
5/21/16- Florida commit who stands at 6-foot-1, 195 pounds with a lean, athletic, and projectable body with strength. He is ranked 14th in Florida and 29th overall. At the plate he is relaxed, has some rhythm, and has an open stance. He gets a separation for his load and his hands come down slightly, getting into a strong hitting position. Short, quick, and easy stroke that is occasionally in and out of the zone but when it stays through, the ball really jumps off his bat. Very good lower half and weight transfer at the plate. From the outfield he has a solid average arm with a long, high 3/4 arm action and he gets some carry when stays on top of the ball. Farmer has a very high ceiling and will continue to improve with reps.
2/20/16- Florida recruit. Has an athletic, lean, and projectable body with visible strength. At the plate he has a wide base, is slightly open, and gets a small separation for his load. He has a good swing plane and his bat stays through the zone. Balanced in the box. He stays on pitches well and has good plate coverage. Quick hands. Loose runner and light on his feet. Quick first step and takes good routes in the outfield. He has a loose, over-the-top arm action and stays on top of the ball well. On line and accurate throws with an above average major league arm.
10/9/2018: 6-1, 195-pound, right-handed hitting outfielder, strong, athletic build, translates into overall game. Offensively, sets up slightly open, high hands, leg kick timing trigger, maintains good balance throughout. Present bat speed, gap-to-gap hitter with real power to the pull-side, natural lift to swing. Launched a no-doubt home run to left field in one at-bat.
