Allen has a strong athletic frame. Hits from the left side with a narrow stance, strides forward landing closed, and hands load back to a strong hitting position. Slight pause at load and separation before fires the hands and barrel through the zone. Hands are short to the ball and displayed a level swing plane with a high one handed finish. Allen displayed strength through the zone and had loud contact in his BP rounds. Ball showed carry to the middle of the field well and flashed some present power to the pullside.
