Deep South Invite: Top 10 Georgia Prospects

Blake Davis
State Director

Today we take a look back at the top 10 Georgia Prospects from the Deep South Invite.  These rankings are based on performances from this event and a look into the future for these talented prospects.

Nico Senese SS / East Coweta, GA / 2022

Senese made his second trip to the Deep South Invite and he continues to impress.  He has an excellent baseball build at 6-foot-2, 165-pounds and is only one going to build upon that. Senese has good actions defensively and offensively.  he projects well in the batters box, as he shows excellent balance and rhythm in the box.  He makes consistent hard contact. Defensively he does things with ease, his feet and hands work well together.  Senese is an excellent combination of now ability with upside.

Brycen Jewell C / RHP / Jefferson , GA / 2020

** Committed to Lee University**

Jewell is an interesting medium framed arm with good athletic ability.  He was a big part of the Winder rotation last Spring and looks to be more of the same in 2020.  His fastball gets up into the upper 80's with life down in the zone, but his breaking ball has really come into its own and was a strong swing and miss pitch at the Deep South flashing a spin rate above 2800 which is elite in that regard.  Jewell has good feel to pitch and is not done, as he is a young 2020 and is very athletic.
