6-foot-2, 170-pound right-handed hitting infielder, have man shortstop and third base to high degree defensively, lanky, lean frame with plenty of room, projectable build. Top of the order bat, relaxed, open setup, hand start low, rise to the ear and load back as he strides long to a balanced position. Takes a line drive approach, uses the middle and pull-side of the field. Barrel has some whip to it, good hit tool. Showed a high IQ at the plate and the ability to make adjustments mid-game. Facing one of the top pitchers in the state, Campbell’s Michael Braswell (South Carolina), saw everything he had to offer in first at-bat, leading to a strikeout, his second at-bat, he recognized off-speed and pulled it down the third base line for an RBI 1B.

10/11/19

Senese looks the part on the diamond, and as he continues to grow into his long-limbed, athletic, 6-foot-2, 165-pound frame there could be another jump in his future. The young shortstop’s baseball IQ stood out throughout the tournament, and his propensity to take quality at-bats in each plate appearance only stands to help his continued development. A right-handed hitter, he sets up open in a slight crouch, squaring off with a short stride that works the hands back into a power position with minor segmentation. From there, the barrel works directly to the ball with quickness as he showcases the ability to use the entire field. He battled deep in counts on multiple occasions, tracking confidently throughout, and showcasing a knack for getting on base. In the field, he plays through the ball well at shortstop with sure hands, and sports adequate arm that should continue increasing as he gets stronger. Overall, there is lots to like about Senese moving forward, and given his polished approach and chance to stick at shortstop at the next level, expect college coaches to be following him closely in the future.

9/29/19

Senese made his second trip to the Deep South Invite and he continues to impress.  He has an excellent baseball build at 6-foot-2, 165-pounds and is only one going to build upon that. Senese has good actions defensively and offensively.  he projects well in the batters box, as he shows excellent balance and rhythm in the box.  He makes consistent hard contact. Defensively he does things with ease, his feet and hands work well together.  Senese is an excellent combination of now ability with upside.

9/18/19

6-foot-2, 165-pounds, the uber projectable infielder is an athlete. He showed versatility as well playing multiple infield positions on the day and successfully defending each. His most impressive play came on a slow roller at shortstop which he barehanded and smoothly transitioned into an accurate throw. He runs well, the body projects definitely with more speed to come and for the frame to fill out. Offensively, a top of the order bat, open setup, high hands separate on load, remains balanced. Present bat speed, gap-to-gap hitter, routinely drove the ball to all fields.

4/27/19

This 2022 middle infielder prospect has an excellent frame. He shows good actions and a clean arm stroke in the field. Senese anticipates and has a good baseball clock. At the plate he has a balanced approach with above average bat-speed, and projects to grow into even more power in the future. The package and actions are very interesting on this young 2022 prospect.

Deep South Invite 10/14/18:

10/14/18

Excited about what we saw from this young 2022 infield prospect at the Deep South Invite, and think he has a good foundation to build upon. Sense has an excellent frame and athletic actions in the dirt. He is long and rangy with a very good pre-pitch routine that always starts in an athletic position. His first step is direct and low to the ground. He fields the ball clean and looks like he will progress into a sure handed infielder. His arm stroke is also clean and produces the kind of footwork that should lead to strong accurate throws. His set-up at the plate feels natural both in terms of rhythm and balance, his hands are high and his lower half stays underneath him. He showed the ability to use the big part of the field and was not over-matched by the older competition. Senese has a very interesting package of fluid actions on both sides of the ball, with a projectable, athletic frame.  Will be a close follow for Prep Baseball Report going forward and with natural progression and strength shows the kind of ingredients to progress into a good prospect to follow for clubs the next level.
