With the 2019 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting in January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2019 Spring Team Preview: Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy Eagles

Coach Outlook: "We have 6 starters and 2 of our top 3 pitchers returning in 2019. We also have a very large and talented freshman group that has joined us this year, and I expect 1 or 2 of them to make a splash. The guys have made a real commitment to our off-season program, and we are hopeful to continue to compete at the top of our league and make a run in the tournament."

PBR Outlook: The Eagles and coach Tony Schulz have talent from top to bottom and are ready to compete in the MVC and Division II in 2019. Look got the Eagles to be a team to watch all year.

  • Clay Brock (Video), RHP/1B, 2019, 6'2", 205, L/R, 4-year starter, 2017 & 2018 1st Team All-District, Central Michigan commit. Last year stats- .324 AVG, 6 2B, 3 3B, HR, 18 RBI, 8 SB. 6-2 2.90 ERA, 41.0 IN, 31 K.
  • Lucas Rotello, 3B/RHP, 2019, 6'0", 185, L/R, 2-year starter, 2018 1st Team All-District, Purdue-Fort Wayne commit. Last year stats- .440 AVG, 7 2B, 5 3B, HR, 25 RBI, 11 SB.
  • Adam Rakestraw, OF, 2019, 6'1", 165, L/R, 3-year starter, Indianapolis U. commit. Last year stats- .303 AVG.
  • Oakley Tippen, C, 2019, 5'9", 200, R/R, 3-year starter, 2-year captain, University of Chicago recruit. Last year stats- .279 AVG, 15 RBI.
  • Dylan Ooten, IF, 2019, 5'10", 135, R/R, 2-year starter. Last year stats- .333AVG.
