6/6/18 The 6-foot-2, 210-pound big, physical righty in the 2019 class has certainly by now made his name known on the recruiting front in the state of Ohio. Have seen him a bit higher from a velocity standpoint, but still has shown the ability to get hitters out with the stuff he possesses on any given day. Uses a more up tempo delivery that requires some effort. A long arm action that works cleany through a high ¾ slot. Fastball stays true through the zone at 81-85 mph. Spins a good breaking ball that has near 12/6 shape with sharp, late break at 71-75 mph. Also mixes in a changeup with some downward action at 78-79 mph. A nice 3-pitch arsenal that should play well at the next level.
1/30/18
A 6-foot-2, physical right-hander who sat consistently 83-86 mph, touching multiple 87’s. Shows feel on the mound, tossing three quality offerings for strikes. Brock may be a newer name for Ohio schools as he spent the past season in Kentucky as a frontline starter for the Kentucky Baseball Club.At first base he uses quick footwork off the bag, doing a nice job of creating throwing lanes with his feet. Ball skills look above average for class/position. Profiles as a solid defender. A lefty stick that has a middle of the lineup look to him. Lower half is aggressive, creating solid energy into contact. Finds plane well, showing natural loft to his swing. Showed the ability to drive the ball with authority to his pull side.
