2016 Spring Team Preview: Badin Rams
Team Name: Badin Rams
Head Coach: Brion Treadway, 81-38
Division: II
2015 Record: 18-8
Conference Record: GCL Coed Central, 13-1
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 3/2
2016 Team Strengths:
- Speed and defense will be preseason strengths. Leadership will have to be developed with much of our roster being new to the varsity level.
2016 Team Weaknesses:
- Lack of varsity experience
- Relief pitching
Coach Outlook: "This year's Badin Rams looks to create their own identity. We have some seniors that are looking to solidify options at the collegiate level and will have every opportunity to prove themselves. Juniors are looking to establish themselves with many getting their first taste of the varsity level. A talented sophomore class will push upperclassmen for roster spots and starting time."
PBR Outlook: The Badin Rams and coach Treadwell have two things against them to start the season: Lack of varsity experience and a move up from D-III to D-II. Both of those factors will have the Rams looking towards the youth to compete in 2016. That being said, this is the Badin Rams and I expect coach Treadwell to have him Rams ready to compete against any team on their schedule.
