The summer season is winding down, and the amount of Ohio talent that has made its way onto the national scene has been extremely fun to follow. The 2017 rankings have seen numerous additions over the summer months and will continue to see other additions as we get closer to the start of the 2016 high school baseball season.

We have released the updated 2017 rankings in advance of the 2015 Ohio Fall Prospect Program.

We have expanded the 2017 class to the top 200, below we will take a look at the "top of the class," the "newcomers," the "biggest risers" and the "top uncommitted players at their respected positions" within the 2017 class.

Top of the Class

Olentangy Orange RHP Tyler Brown keeps the #1 spot in the 2017 class. The 6-foot-2, solidly built righty saw his fastball get up to 92 mph before he was injured this summer. Brown also features a mid-70s curve as well as a mid-70s change and looks to showcase his three-pitch mix once this prospect gets back on the mound.

Lorain HS projectable RHP Xavier Moore made a jump to the #2 spot after a strong summer where his fastball reached 90 mph.
