By Jordan Chiero and PBR Staff
Ohio Director of Scouting
With more than 120 scouts in attendance, the 14th Annual Super 60 Pro Showcase delivered many highlights by prospects from 19 different states on Sunday, Feb. 7 at The Max in McCook, IL. Throughout the coming weeks we will produce content highlighting the top performers, the biggest risers and much more from the event, but today we take a quick look at the best statistical performances, which includes two event records.
Although statistics only paint a partial picture of how well a player performed, these numbers are pretty telling for early February:

Super 60 Evaluation
It was another good showing for Ohio in this year’s Super 60. All three participants showed off their specific tool set that earned them an invitation to the event. Ty Duvall showed why he is considered one of the most complete hitters in the 2016 class. Using his fluid mechanics and advanced approach he showed very well in batting practice. He was able to consistently find the barrel and drive the ball with authority to both sides of the field. Chase Murray showed off his athleticism and bat speed that has him ranked Ohio’s top outfielder in the 2016 class. He started off the day by running one of the top 10 fastest 60-yard dash times of the day at 6.83 (laser timed). He then registered an exit velocity of 98 mph, which was good enough to put him in the top 10 for that category as well. The ball jumped off his bat in batting practice as he sprayed line drives all over the field. Cameron Junker, a 6-foot-4 right-hander, looked the part of an elite pitching prospect then got on the mound and proved it. He showed command of his off-speed and his heavy, downhill fastball sat 88-89 mph. Junker has as much upside and any prospect in attendance.
Draft Outlook: Each of these prospects has tools in their skill set that will make them attractive to professional scouts. Duvall has advanced abilities at and behind the plate, Murray has very good athleticism and a plus hit tool, and Junker’s projectability and fastball all will have them in the 2016 draft discussion. However, one of the biggest factors when discussing their draft outlook would be the prestigious academic schools they are committed to in Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, and Notre Dame.
