With the 2016 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state.

Starting February 1st, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2016 Spring Team Preview: Urbana Hillclimbers

Team Name: Urbana Hillclimbers
Head Coach: Kevin Bowdle
Division: II
2015 Record: 4-24
Conference Record: Central Buckeye Conference - Mad River Division
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 11/7

2016 Team Strengths:

• We should be a team that has speed on the base pads. With our speed and a years growth offensively that should turn into more runs on the board for us. Defensively we must throw strikes and make the routine play.

2016 Team Weaknesses:

• Pitching will be our question mark. We have guys that can throw but have been inconsistent with strikes in the past. If we can correct that it will be a large turn around for us this year.

Coach Outlook: "Last year we were extremely young, starting two freshman and three sophomores. This years we expect those players to step up and play more like a veteran team even though they are still young. We should be more talented at every position with the years growth."

PBR Outlook: The youth coach Bowdle put on the field last year is a year older now and their progress will shape the 2016 season for Urbana.
