2016 Spring Team Preview: Hillsdale Falcons

With the 2016 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state.

Starting February 1st, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2016 Spring Team Preview: Hillsdale Falcons

Team Name: Hillsdale Falcons
Head Coach: Mike Wolf, 161-98
Division: IV
2015 Record: 10-18 
Conference Record: WCAL, 2-12
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 3/2

2016 Team Strengths:

  • Starting pitching - 6 varsity level pitchers from left and right side

2016 Team Weaknesses:

  • Youth
  • Bottom of the order hitters

Coach Outlook: "While we will be extremely young (only one sr), we have some very talented freshmen and sophomores who will gain valuable experience this upcoming season."

PBR Outlook: Coach Wolf and the Falcons success will be based on how the youth adapts to the varsity level. That same youth is talented, which should provide the Falcons with a successful season.
