NY Class of 2027 Rankings (Season Update)

Following an action packed preseason tour filled with talent from across the Empire State, it's time for the main event as the high school season is set to kick off. We've updated up the rankings with some new players and familiar standouts, expanding the total to 55 players. Leading the charge is none other than Duke recruit Derek Yormack, setting the bar high at number one. With Future Games alumni dominating the top 30 and promising newcomers on the rise, it's shaping up to be a season full of surprises and stellar performances.

The RHP has a ton of projection in a 6-foot-3, 170 lb frame. The FB is electric coming out of the hand with ease and advanced spin; hops through the zone out of a H 3/4 slot. Counters with a sweeping breaking ball that profiles as a swing and miss out pitch.

2027 SS/RHP Sean Gaine (Smithtown East, NY); 6-0, 165 lbs. One of the most consistent rounds of the day for the young RHH. Open setup with a slight hang to the stride but stays on time.

Long, athletic 6-foot-2, 170 lb frame with 2-way abilities. The arm is strong topping at 83 MPH in the fielding work out and it carried over to the mound where his FB sat 81-82 MPH flashing ride & arm side run. At the plate he showed the power potential notching a 91 MPH peak exit velo with a 336 ft peak batted ball distance.
