Northwestern, PA Standouts
Chris Juchno OF / McDowell, PA / 2021Rankings StateRank: 36 / POS: 6
The QB1 for McDowell's football team stands in at an athletic 6-foot-2, 210-pounds with present strength in his actions. Showed off a strong and fluid lefty stroke with easy pull side juice. Put on a show during batting practice with the top round of the day featuring 92 mph bat-exit velocities to all fields. The outfielder displayed advanced footwork showcasing his athleticism during defensive evaluations. Continuously got to the spot of the ball and played aggressively through it allowing for a fluid 82 mph arm-strength from his position. Ran a 7.12, but his natural feel for the game should keep him in centerfield. |

2021 OF Chris Juchno (McDowell) Large, physical frame. Had a monster round of BP. Barrel path is direct with some uphill plane. Drove the ball with authority to all parts of the field. Had an exit velocity of 92 MPH and ran a 7.16 sixty yard dash #NorthwestPA pic.twitter.com/z6CJgQZtFV
Aidan Kelly RHP / 3B / Harbor Creek, PA / 2021There wasn’t one thing all day that Aidan Kelly didn’t do well. The right-handed pitcher was up to 85 mph off the bump with advanced feel for varying 67-68 and 75-77 mph breaking balls with late depth. The RHH also had one of the better batting practice rounds of the day with a twitchy lower half creating solid lower half drive and a 91 mph bat-exit velocity. To top it off, the 3B was 87 mph across the diamond with fluid actions stamping himself as a legit two-way prospect at the next level. |

2021 RHP Aidan Kelly (Harborcreek) Stronf, burly build. Arm works clean with a traditional 3/4 slot. Fastball was 82-85 MPH, with a curveball at 67-68 MPH and a slider at 75-77 MPH. #NorthwestPA pic.twitter.com/QyiFKG5q9W
Jonathan Leedham C / 3B / Hickory, PA / 2023Rankings StateRank: 20 / POS: 3
The '23 catcher impressed across the board with measurables that were advanced for his age. The 5-foot-9, 175-pound backstop exploded onto the scene with a loud round of batting practice featuring a 90 mph bat-exit velocity. Couple that with 74 mph arm-strength from the crouch and 2.15-2.25 pop times that will continue to drop and you're talking about a very interesting follow in the 2023 class. |
Jack Malec 1B / RHP / Cathedral Prep , PA / 2021Rankings StateRank: 135 / POS: 7
Malec impressed in all facets of the game displaying an very projectable 6-foot-4, 190-pound frame with easy, fluid actions in everything he did. The right-handed hitter repeatedly drove the ball to all fields and featured natural pull side lift recording a 92 mph bat-exit velocity during batting practice. The first baseman demonstrated feel around the bag with athletic actions and showed 78 mph arm-strength across the diamond. The righty was up to 83 mph on the mound with room for more out of a fluid, high3/4 arm-slot flashing feel for two secondary pitches. Tough at-bat against and will only get better as he fills out. |
Jakub Obman C / 1B / Moniteau, PA / 2022Showed well in everything he did starting with an impressive round of batting practice featuring advanced hand speed and a short swing through the zone. Displayed a gap-to-gap approach with an 89 mph bat-exit velocity with ability to use the backside if pitched there. The catcher ran a 7.12 60-yard dash and had a top pop time of 2.03 on throws of 76 mph from the crouch. An intriguing prospect with a mature 5-foot-10, 220-pound frame that is next-level ready, Obman should be a close follow in the 2022 class. |

2022 C Jakub Obman (Moniteau) Stong, thick build. Swing is simple and flat, with good extension through contact. Had a round full of gap to gap drives. Had an exit velocity of 89 MPH and an impressive 7.12 sixty yard dash #NorthwestPA pic.twitter.com/v0VHxw0Lgz
Cole Sebastian OF / 2B / Otto-Eldred, PA / 2021Rankings StateRank: 141 / POS: 24
Easily honing the top raw tools of the day, Sebastian impressed with advanced fast twitch actions. Not only was his 6.50 60-yard dash impressive (tops on the day), but he also turned in a 96 mph bat-exit velocity during one of the loudest batting practice rounds of the day. Showed off next-level hand speed with natural pull-side lift and advanced feel for the barrel. 80 mph arm-strength will keep him in CF or LF, but his 6-foot, 158-pound frame is lean and projectable with room to fill out. Should be an intriguing power/speed follow in the 2021 class. |
2021 OF Cole Sebastian (Otto-Eldred) Long, lean frame with easy athletic movements. Good rhythm to his swing. Crushed gap to gap line drives throughout his round. Turned in a 6.50 sixty yard dash and had an exit velocity of 96 MPH#NorthwestPA@DanCevette pic.twitter.com/CQLi7NWjAr

ERIC SWIENCICKIRHP / 1B / St. Joseph's Collegiate, NY / 2022Displayed a strong and sturdy 5-foot-11, 195-pound frame creating some downhill action on the fastball out of a high 3/4 arm-slot at 83 mph. Mixed in a 64-66 mph, 11/5 curveball with depth and a 70-73 mph changeup with considerable arm-side fade. Should be an interesting follow on the mound first, but has a chance with the bat as the right-handed hitter had a solid round of batting practice with an 83 mph bat-exit velocity. |
2022 RHP Eric Swienicki (St. Joes, NY) Strong, sturdy build. Low effort delivery with a 3/4 arm slot. Fastball worked 80-83 MPH with a curveball at 64-66 and changeup with good arm side fade at 70-73 MPH. #NorthwestPA pic.twitter.com/1gWLAWmdoC
