2/29/20
Demonstrated feel for a large and compact 5-foot-11, 195-pound frame with present strength in his actions. The primary right-handed pitcher impressed sitting 80-83 mph out of a whippy, high ¾ arm-slot with room for more and fluidity in the arm-swing. Mixed in a sharp 64-66 mph curveball featuring 11/5 shape down in the zone. Countered with a 70-73 mph changeup flashing occasional arm-side fade with adequate sell. The left-handed hitter begins using a wide, slightly open stance utilizing a leg-lift stride to initiate a flat barrel path into the hitting zone. Generated a line drive approach to all fields with a strong top hand, yielding an 83 mph bat-exit velocity during batting practice. Ran an 8.37 60-yard dash. The first baseman displayed adequate footwork arriving to the ball on time with regularity. A soft glove hand played through the ball out in front and repeatable transfers allowed for an accurate 73 mph arm-strength across the infield out of a low-effort, high ¾ arm-slot.
