TOP PROSPECTs
Josh Beck, 2021, LHP/1B, Lancaster Catholic (PA)
6-foot-5, 175-pound primary pitcher sat 80-81 from a mid-3/4 arm slot with a long, loose arm action. Fastball displays some natural cut and was commanded will down in the zone. The lefty also showcased a 2-seam fastball with similar action at 79-81. The curveball has sweeping 2/8 break at 67-69 with occasional two-plane action. Beck also showcased a changeup at 75-76 at near fastball arm speed. The delivery is balanced and repeatable and significant velocity gains are likely moving forward. The left-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing from a high back elbow load with a lift-and-replace stride. The deep load leads to some barrel drag with a bat exit velocity of 83 mph. Beck ran a 7.62 60-yard dash and showed athletic actions around the bag at first base with 80 mph arm strength across the diamond.
Chase Renner, 2021, RHP, Brandywine Heights HS (PA)
6-foot-1, 165-pounder sat 82-84 from a 3/4 arm slot with some arm-side run to his fastball. Showed solid balance and repeatable mechanics beginning with a side rocker step while incorporating some hip coil in his stack. Has added nearly 10 mph to his fastball since we saw him last in lat December. Also showcased a curveball with 10/4 rotation at 64-66. There is a hook in the back that telegraphs the pitch. Renner's changeup shows both sink and arm-side run at fastball arm speed sitting 69-72. An athletic frame should carry additional weight and strength leading to additional velocity gains in the coming years. It will be interesting to follow Renner's progression over the next 12 months to see if he continues to progress as much he has in the past six months.
Joseph Wileczek, 2021, SS/RHP, West Chester East HS (PA)
5-foot-6, 140-pounder stood out as the top defensive player at the event. In spite of his frame Wileczek flashed 81 mph arm strength across the diamond while playing low to the ground with active feet and a quick release from multiple arm angles. The right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a leg-hang stride. Showcased a feel for the barrel when on time to the hitting zone with a bat exit velocity of 83 mph and ran a 7.05 60-yard dash. The righty sat 80-81 from a high 3/4 arm slot on the mound with some hip coil to his delivery. Wileczek also commanded a curveball with 11/5 rotation at 65-68 and a changeup at 68-70 at fastball arm speed.

Brady Bendik, 2022, RHP/3B, State College Area HS (PA)
6-foot, 180-pound primary pitcher sat 77-79 from a 3/4 arm slot while commanding his four-seam fastball. His two-seamer was thrown at the same velocity with some late sink and arm-side run. Curveball showed 11/5 rotation at 63-66 with a slower arm motion. Changeup at 67-69 displays some sink when thrown at fastball arm speed. Right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a toe-tap stride. Showed a feel for the barrel with a long, flat bat path. Registered a bat exit velocity of 83 mph and showcased capable actions defensively with 73 mph arm strength across the diamond. Definite follow in this class as a two-way prospect with velocity spikes likely on the mound.

6-foot, 160-pound primary pitcher sat 71-73 from a 3/4 arm slot. Carr also displayed a 2-seam fastball at the same velocity with some late arm-side run. Tommy Slay, 2022, SS/RHP, Elk County Catholic HS (PA)
6-foot, 160-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a toe-tap stride. Starts his hands from a deep load position with a flat barrel path through the zone leading to a bat exit velocity of 73 mph. Ran an 8.13 60-yard dash and showcased 77 mph arm strength across the diamond defensively. Two-way prospect did not throw off the mound on this date.
Aidan Sturtevant, 2021, 3B/RHP, Cocalico HS (PA)
5-foot-11, 155-pound right-handed hitter starts from an open stance and utilizes a lift-and-replace stride to begin. Showcased a feel for the barrel with a bat exit velocity of 81 mph during a solid round of batting practice. Ran a 7.75 60-yard dash and showed 72 mph arm strength across the diamond defensively. Displays active feet and plays through the baseball routinely with a short arm circle release. Righty sat 71-75 on the mound from and over-the-top arm slot. Also commanded a curveball with 10/4 rotation at 63-64 and and a changeup at 66-69 with a slower arm motion. A well rounded skill set will continue to develop with strength gains and through physical maturity.
Colby Sweitzer, 2022, RHP/SS, Penns Valley Area HS (PA)
5-foot-9, 150-pound primary pitcher sat 77-80 from an over-the-top arm slot with some hip-coil to his delivery. Also commanded a two-seam fastball with similar action, a curveball with 10/4 break at 63-67 and a changeup with some sink at 73-75. The right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilized a leg-lift stride to initiate his swing. A strong lower half and above average feel for the barrel leads to a bat exit velocity of 81 mph. Ran a 7.78 60-yard dash and showcased accurate 81 mph arm strength across the diamond defensively. Definite follow in this class with the potential to play two ways at the next level.
