We wrap our coverage of the first annual Trash Pandas Classic by taking a look at the thirty seven infielders from the event. As with the other positions, these players went through a morning pro style workout and played in one of the two games afterwards. This talented group of players put up some impressive numbers so let's take an in depth look at each infielder present.
Galen Evans: 2B/SS, (2023) Huntsville, AL. 5-foot-5, 122-pound lean frame. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 8.01. Began in a crouched stance with a compact load, then used a quick stride. Bat speed is efficient, displays short swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found some barrels through his rounds. the right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 78 mph. In the infield, his best throw was registered at 71 mph; has consistent footwork and a fluid exchange. Had a quick arm action with consistent accuracy to the bag.On the mound, shows a compact arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows some effort. Lands soft. Produced a fastball that came in at 72-73 mph and topped out at 74 mph; has low in the zone control and some action. Throws a 11/5 curveball (60-61) that has sweeping action and consistent control.
Nicholas Sharp: 2B/C, (2024) Madison County, AL. 5-foot-5, 120-pound slim frame. At the plate, Sharp recorded an exit velocity of 73 mph. Began in a closed stance with a controlled load, then used a toe tap just before his swing. Bat speed is efficient, and has good extension on his finish. Found some barrels through his rounds. Up the middle approach. In the infield, his best throw was registered at 70 mph; has rhythmic feet, a clean exchange and consistent hands. Used a low ¾ slot with a quick arm action. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 8.24. Projectable on the mound, had quick arm speed. Has athletic balance point. Threw his fastball 69-71 mph and topped out at 73 mph; had running action and in the zone command. Showed a 11/5 curveball (58-60) with swing and miss action. Does a nice job pitching "in" vs. RH hitters.
Zach Bingham: SS/RHP, (2023) Madison Academy, AL. 5-foot-6, 120-pound proportional frame. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.81. Began in an athletic stance with a smooth load, then used a small leg kick. Has simple upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. He found some barrels in his round. Line drive approach. the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 73 mph. While in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 74 mph; had consistent footwork and a natural exchange. Showed an-over-the-top slot and a short arm action. On the mound, had a high ¾ arm angle with good arm speed. Feel type pitcher and uses easy effort. Sat with his fastball at 70-71 mph and topped out at 72 mph; has a heavy fastball that showed arm side command and running action. Has a 12/6 curveball (61-64) that shows control low in the zone and plus action. Has fading action and very consistent command on his changeup . Breaking ball shows tight slider action.
Cooper Walls: SS/RHP, (2024) McAdory, AL. 5-foot-6, 123-pound projectable frame. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 8.13. Started in a balanced stance with a smooth load, then used a short stride just before his swing. Bat speed is raw and displays short swing plane. Found some barrels during his round. Gap to gap approach. the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 73 mph. Athletic while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 75 mph; twitchy clean exchange. Had a quick arm action and a high ¾ slot. Above average on the mound, showed a high ¾ arm angle with above average arm speed. Up-tempo type pitcher and uses easy effort. Showed strong balance point. Produced a fastball that came in at 73-74 mph and topped out at 75 mph; had running action and consistent command. Showed a 11/5 curveball (66-67) with tight action. Loose arm on the mound with late action on the fastball.
Walker King: 2B/SS, (2021) Westminster Christian, AL. 5-foot-6, 155-pound athletic frame. Showed his athleticism during the event with a sub-seven 60 time of 6.9. Starts in a quiet stance with a controlled load, then uses a small leg kick to start his swing. Had efficient bat speed, simple flat swing plane and good extension on his finish. He found multiple barrels in his round. Up the middle approach. King recorded an exit velocity of 79 mph. In the infield, recorded a position velocity of 72 mph; had sure hands, a natural exchange and rhythmic footwork. Had a loose arm action with a high ¾ slot. Had two 1B's in gameplay. Throwback type mentality.
Benjamin Frasier: SS/2B, (2023) Lindsay Lane Christian, AL. 5-foot-7, 124-pound projectable frame. In the box, Frasier had an exit velocity of 75 mph. Sets up in a balanced stance with a small load. Bat speed was some, and displayed flat swing plane. Barreled up a few balls throughout his round. Up the middle approach. Fluid while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 70 mph; has sure hands. Used a short arm action with an-over-the-top slot while showing consistent accuracy to the base. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.68.
Brayden Brown: 2B/SS, (2023) Lauderdale County, AL. 5-foot-7, 138-pound lean frame. Clocked a time of 7.78 in the 60-yard dash. Began in a quiet athletic stance with a compact load, then used a controlled stride to initiate his swing. Bat speed is efficient and exhibits rotational swing plane. Found some barrels during his rounds. Gap to gap approach. Brown recorded an exit velocity of 52 mph. In the infield, his position velocity was registered at 68 mph; shows smooth feet, sure hands and a quick exchange. Showed an-over-the-top slot with a short arm action.
Carson May: SS/3B, (2023) Central, AL. 5-foot-11, 158-pound athletic frame. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.59. Started in a tall stance with a smooth load, then used a short stride to initiate his swing. Had short upward swing plane, and his bat speed was raw. He Barreled up some balls throughout his round. Pull side approach. Mays best exit velocity was 76 mph. In the infield, his best throw was registered at 71 mph; has fluid feet, a natural exchange and consistent hands. From an-over-the-top slot, showed consistent accuracy to the base with a quick arm action.
Micah Perkins: 3B/SS, (2022) Lindsay Lane Christian, AL. 5-foot-8, 130-pound athletic frame. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.14. Started in a quiet balanced stance with a compact load, then used a controlled stride before his swing. Bat speed is efficient, uses simple swing plane and level finish. Found some barrels during his round. Gap to gap approach. Perkins had a max exit velocity of 79 mph. While in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 75 mph; shows soft hands, rhythmic feet and a clean exchange. Showed decent accuracy to the bag with a high ¾ slot and a very quick arm action. On the mound, threw from a high ¾ arm angle and had consistent arm speed. Up-tempo type pitcher who uses easy effort. Threw his fastball 73-74 mph with a max of 76 mph; shows very consistent control and cutting action. Has tight action and very consistent control on his 12/6 curveball (63-65). The breaking ball sets up as a "plus" pitch for him.
Jonathan Preston: SS/RHP, (2024) Buckhorn, AL. 5-foot-9, 145-pound athletic frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 74 mph. Begins in an athletic balanced stance with a quick load, then uses a quick stride. Bat speed is efficient, exhibits short flat swing plane and level finish. He found some barrels in his round. Line drive approach. Advanced in the infield, his best throw was registered at 76 mph; showed sure hands, a twitchy exchange and athletic feet. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used an-over-the-top slot with a long arm action. Recorded a 60 time of 7.71 at the event.
Bo Solley: SS/2B, (2023) Decatur Heritage, AL. 5-foot-9, 148-pound solid frame. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.44. Began in an active stance with a quick load, then used a quick stride to initiate his swing. Bat speed is efficient, exhibits an inside-out swing plane and level finish. He found some barrels in his rounds. Opposite field approach. the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 80 mph. While in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 76 mph; shows developing feet, a clean exchange and consistent hands. Showed a consistent arm action with a high ¾ slot.
Seth Mitchell: 2B/SS, (2023) Lindsay Lane Christian, AL. 5-foot-10, 135-pound projectable frame. Recorded a time of 7.54 in the 60-yard dash. Begins in an athletic closed stance with a compact load, then uses a quick stride to initiate his swing. Has rotational swing plane and a front foot finish. He Barreled up some balls during the round. Pull side approach. Mitchell's best exit velocity was 70 mph. Fluid while in the infield, made throws up to 72 mph; has a fluid exchange, smooth feet and soft hands. Used a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot.
Max Morrison: 2B/OF, (2023) Lindsay Lane Christian, AL. 5-foot-10, 135-pound projectable frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 72 mph. Setup is comprised of quiet balanced stance and a quick stride. Had simple flat swing plane and had level finish. Found some barrels during his round. Pull side approach. In the infield, his position velocity was registered at 69 mph; shows consistent hands, rhythmic feet and a natural exchange. Had a high ¾ slot and consistent accuracy to the base. Clocked a 60 time of 7.24 at the event.
Collin Perkins: 2B/RHP, (2022) Scottsboro, AL. 5-foot-10, 145-pound projectable frame. Recorded a 60 time of 7.57 at the event. Starts in an athletic quiet stance with a controlled load, then uses a controlled stride before his swing. Ends his swing with good extension on his finish. Barreled up multiple balls with a lot of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Perkins recorded an exit velocity of 81 mph. Above average while in the infield, made throws up to 78 mph; has smooth footwork and a quick exchange. Used a quick arm action and an-over-the-top slot. Had two 1B's in gameplay.
Mykell Murrah: SS/RHP, (2023) Elkmont, AL. 5-foot-9, 150-pound mature frame. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.26. Sets up in an open stance with a short stride. Had simple uphill swing plane, above average bat speed and high finish. He found some barrels during his round. Opposite field approach. the right-handed hitters best exit velocity was 85 mph. In the infield, his position velocity was registered at 78 mph; has fluid feet and consistent hands. Used a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. On the mound, showed consistent arm speed with a quick arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses easy effort. Sat with his fastball at 80-81 mph with a max of 82 mph; showed running action and in the zone control with heavy movement. His 12/6 curveball (59-61) shows swing and miss action and low in the zone control. His changeup (65-67) had tailing action and very consistent command. Effortless delivery on the mound with a ton of projection.
Connor Robinson: SS/RHP, (2023) Faith Academy, AL. 5-foot-9, 160-pound. Recorded a 60 time of 7.24 at the event. Setup is comprised of a compact load and open stance. Had some bat speed and good extension on his finish. Found some barrels through his round. Pull side approach. Robinson recorded an exit velocity of 77 mph. In the infield, recorded a position velocity of 77 mph; showed a natural exchange and rhythmic footwork. Had a consistent arm action and an-over-the-top slot. On the mound, showed quick arm speed with a loose arm action. Feel type pitcher and shows easy effort. Sat with his fastball at 71-73 mph and topped out at 74 mph; shows sinking action and consistent control with heavy movement. His 12/6 curveball (58-60) has command low in the zone and late action. Has very consistent command and tailing action on his changeup (66-67). Does a ton f things well, had two loud contact 1B's in the game. ;
Evan Jones: SS/2B, (2022) Chelsea, AL. 5-foot-10, 162-pound athletic frame. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.12. Starts in a balanced stance with a quick load, then uses a short stride to start his swing. Had above average bat speed and good extension on his finish. He Barreled up multiple balls during the round. Gap to gap approach. the right-handed hitter displayed an exit velocity of 93 mph, showing his strength and power ability. Above average in the infield, had a live arm with throws that topped out at 85 mph; had a clean exchange, athletic footwork and twitchy hands. Used a high ¾ slot and a short arm action.
Henry Mitchell: SS/RHP, (2022) Albuquerque Academy, NM. 5-foot-10, 180-pound athletic frame. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.29. Started in an athletic balanced stance with a smooth load, then used a toe tap just before his swing. Bat speed is above average and has short upward swing plane. Found multiple barrels with tons of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Mitchell clocked an exit velocity of 88 mph. In the infield, his position velocity was registered at 83 mph; has consistent footwork and a clean exchange. Used a long arm action and an-over-the-top slot. On the mound, has quick arm speed and throws from a high ¾ arm angle. Up-tempo type pitcher who shows some effort. Showed athletic balance point. Sat with his fastball at 82-84 mph and topped out at 85 mph; throws in a heavy fastball with running action and very consistent control. His 12/6 curveball (72-74) shows command low in the zone and late action. His changeup (77-78) showed consistent command and swing and miss action. Had a 2B and 1B in gameplay and showed projectable stuff on the mound as well. He's a baseball player.
Hunter Royer: 2B/3B, (2022) Austin, AL. 5-foot-8, 165-pound projectable frame. Recorded a time of 7.79 in the 60-yard dash. Started in an active stance with a controlled load, then used a quick stride to initiate his swing. Bat speed is some, exhibits rotational swing plane and a back foot finish. Was able to create some loud contact and found some barrels. Royer recorded an exit velocity of 84 mph. While in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 66 mph; had a clean exchange and developing footwork. Using a loose arm action, showed some accuracy to the base from an-over-the-top slot.
Mason Billions: 1B/3B, (2022) Ardmore, AL. 5-foot-10, 185-pound proportional frame. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 8.04. Begins in a balanced stance with a controlled load, then uses a toe tap before his swing. Had upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. He Barreled up some balls during his round. Pull side approach. the left-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 88 mph. Fluid in the infield, displayed a velocity of 73 mph; had a quick exchange and choppy footwork. Had consistent accuracy to the base and a consistent arm action.

He found a couple of barrels with some loud contact. Up the middle approach. In the infield, displayed a velocity of 76 mph; has rhythmic feet and consistent hands. Had a consistent arm action with a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.27.
Preston Patterson: RHP/SS, (2023) Ardmore High School, AL. 6-foot, 173-pound proportional frame. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.8. Began in a balanced quiet stance with a controlled load, then used a toe tap to start his swing. Had an inside-out swing plane and level finish. Through his round he found some barrels. Opposite field approach. Patterson recorded an exit velocity of 78 mph. Confident while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 71 mph; shows consistent footwork and a natural exchange. Showed a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action with some accuracy to the bag. On the mound, has some arm speed and throws from a high ¾ arm angle. Up-tempo type pitcher and uses some effort. Showed athletic balance point. Displayed a clean finish Threw his fastball 75-77 mph with a max of 78 mph; has very consistent command and running action. Throws a 12/6 curveball (64-67) that has control low in the zone and tight action. Had a 3B during the game.
Nicholas Songy: 1B/RHP, (2023) St John Paul II Catholic, AL. 6-foot-1, 170-pound athletic frame. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 8.04. Begins in an athletic stance with a smooth load, then uses a controlled stride to initiate his swing. Bat speed is efficient, exhibits short simple swing plane and a front foot finish. Created some loud contact during his round. Opposite field approach. the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 83 mph. While in the infield, made throws up to 72 mph; has a clean exchange, rhythmic feet and raw hands. Had consistent accuracy to the bag with an-over-the-top slot.
Connor Faust: RHP/SS, (2021) Oneonta, AL. 6-foot-3, 165-pound lean frame. Recorded a time of 7.21 in the 60-yard dash. Started in a tall balanced stance and had a controlled stride. Had short uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Pull side approach. the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 89 mph, showing his ability to drive the ball with power. In the infield, his best throw was registered at 76 mph; shows rhythmic feet, a fluid exchange and raw hands. Showed consistent balance point. a clean finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 74-76 mph with a max of 77 mph; has a glove side control that shows heavy movement. He showed very consistent control and late action on his 12/6 curveball (64-67).
Ty Scott: SS/RHP, (2021) East Limestone, AL. 6-foot-1, 178-pound athletic frame. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.09. Started in a quiet stance with a smooth load, then used a short stride to initiate his swing. Had flat swing plane and had good extension on his finish. He found multiple barrels through his rounds. Gap to gap approach. Scott's 92 mph exit velocity showed his ability to drive the ball with power. In the infield, displayed a velocity of 82 mph; has consistent hands and a clean exchange. Used a consistent arm action and an-over-the-top slot. On the mound, had a loose arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Up-tempo type pitcher and shows max effort. Sat with his fastball at 81-83 mph and topped out at 84 mph; shows very consistent command. Had late action and very consistent command on his 12/6 curveball (66-67). His changeup (76-77) has fading action and arm side control. Does a nice job mixing pitches and keeping the same arm action arm speed.
Nolan Daversa: SS/RHP, (2023) Madison County, AL. 5-foot-8, 160-pound mature frame. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.68. Started in an open stance with a tight load, then used a leg kick. Had above average bat speed and rotational swing plane. He found some barrels during his rounds. Up the middle approach. Daversa recorded an exit velocity of 85 mph. Fluid while in the infield, made throws up to 76 mph; showed a fluid exchange and athletic footwork. From an-over-the-top slot, showed consistent accuracy to the base with a quick arm action.
William Penley: 1B/LHP, (2021) Decatur, AL. 6-foot-5, 200-pound mature frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter showed his power in the box with a strong exit velocity of 90 mph. Begins in a tall stance with a compact load, then uses a small leg kick to initiate his swing. Bat speed is above average, uses simple uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. He showed some loud contact during his round. Pull side approach. Fluid in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 77 mph; shows smooth footwork. Had an-over-the-top slot with a long arm action. The athletic recruit showcased his speed with a sub-seven 60 time of 6.95. On the mound, used a quick arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Tall-and-fall type pitcher who shows easy effort. a clean finish. Changeup (69-70 mph).Sat with his fastball at 76-78 mph and topped out at 79 mph; showed running action and arm side command. His curveball (66-68) has some action and around the zone control.
Mason Mann: 1B/3B, (2021) Priceville, AL. 6-foot-4, 235-pound mature frame. Clocked a 60 time of 7.91 at the event. Started in a quiet balanced stance with a compact load, then used a controlled stride to start his swing. Bat speed was explosive, showed upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with tons of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Mann showed his power ability with an exit velocity of 92 mph. Fluid in the infield, his best throw was registered at 76 mph; has fluid feet and consistent hands. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a long arm action and an-over-the-top slot. Really swing the bat well in the game as he had a 2B and 3B in the game (both were driven over the CF's head).
JB Swearengin: RHP/1B, (2021) Huntsville, AL. 6-foot-3, 225-pound mature frame. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 8.36. Started in an open stance with a compact load, then used a leg kick to start his swing. Bat speed was some, had upward swing plane and high finish. Found multiple barrels with loud contact. Pull side approach. Swearengins best exit velocity was 86 mph. In the infield, recorded a position velocity of 71 mph; has a fluid exchange, consistent feet and sure hands. Had a long arm action and an-over-the-top slot.
Eli Bolden: 3B/1B, (2021) James Clemens, AL. 6-foot-3, 200-pound athletic frame. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.45. Started in a quiet stance with a small load, then used a controlled stride to initiate his swing. Bat speed is above average, has short uphill swing plane and high finish. He found multiple barrels with a lot of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Bolden showed his power ability with an exit velocity of 93 mph. Smooth in the infield, had a live arm with throws that topped out at 85 mph; had a quick exchange, smooth footwork and twitchy hands. Used a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot.
Ben Wade: RHP/3B, (2021) Life Christian, AL. 6-foot-2, 195-pound mature frame. Recorded a time of 7.28 in the 60-yard dash. Starts in an athletic quiet stance with a quick load, then uses a controlled stride to start his swing. Bat speed was explosive, showed uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. He Barreled up multiple balls with loud contact. Pull side approach. Wade showed power in the box with an exit velocity of 91 mph. Athletic while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 83 mph; has a clean exchange and choppy footwork. Used an-over-the-top slot with a long arm action. Above average on the mound, showing quick arm speed he had a loose arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses some effort. Threw his fastball 83-86 mph with a max of 88 mph; showed arm side control and cutting action with heavy movement. Threw a 11/5 curveball (71-73) with cutting action and arm side command. Really like the effortless delivery on the mound with "plus" stuff.
Aidan Smith: 3B/1B, (2023) West Limestone, AL. 5-foot-9, 220-pound sturdy frame. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 8.58. Started in an athletic balanced stance with a compact load, then used a controlled stride before his swing. Bat speed was above average, had flat swing plane and good extension on his finish. In his round he found multiple barrels. the right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 79 mph. While in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 73 mph; has sure hands, a fluid exchange and consistent feet. Showed an-over-the-top slot and a long arm action. Had 1 3B during gameplay.

Chris Lynam: 3B/RHP, (2023) Grissom, AL. 6-foot, 208-pound physical frame. Clocked a 60 time of 7.58 at the event. Begins in an open stance with a tight load, then uses a quick stride. Has explosive bat speed, short upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. Barreled up multiple balls with a lot of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 84 mph. In the infield, displayed a velocity of 75 mph. Had a long arm action with consistent accuracy to the bag. Had two well struck 1B's during gameplay. Has progressed well since January.
Hunter Lee: 1B/OF, (2021) Hazel Green, AL. 6-foot, 210-pound. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.34. Starts in a tall athletic stance with a smooth load, then uses a leg kick just before his swing. Has rotational swing plane, efficient bat speed and good extension on his finish. He found some barrels in his round. Pull side approach. the right-handed hitter's 95 mph exit velocity showed his ability to drive the ball with power.
