Class of 2025 Player Rankings (September)
2021 brought back high school baseball in the state of Michigan where four schools were crowned champions. The state of Michigan has become a hotbed of talent throughout the country placing numerous players at various levels into colleges as well as multiple draft picks. As we close out the summer and move into fall baseball as well as other fall sports we had the opportunity to see hundreds of prospects throughout the summer and present our updated class rankings.
That being said, we have had the pleasure of seeing a number of solid players this past year. Prospects are popping up left and right, making velocity jumps, improving 60-yard dash times and showing more power with the bat.

What's Going On At The Top
We have released an initial 25 player list for our class of 2025, below we write about the top ten.
Joshua Campbell OF / 2B / Detroit Country Day, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 1 / POS: 1
Report: Joshua Campbell is a 5-foot-9, 165 pound prospect that plays both infield and outfield. Has a mature approach at the plate with a bag full of tools that he displays on the regular. His bat often stands out as he drills line drives and possesses a 91 mph exit velocity prior to ever playing an inning of high school baseball. 6.87 runner also who is committed to the University of Michigan. The lone commit so far in the Michigan class of 2025. |
Blake Ilitch RHP / 3B / University Liggett, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 2 / POS: 1
Report: Blake Ilitch is a 6-foot-2, 190 pound power arm on the mound that has seen his fastball up to the mid 80’s. Three pitch repertoire on the hill with command, also challenges hitters in the zone. Easy arm whip on the mound, while competing against some of the nation’s best. Corner infielder in the field with pop at the plate, showing a 93 mph exit velocity. |
Anthony Bonnetti RHP / OF / Richmond, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 3 / POS: 2
Report: Anthony Bonnetti is a 6-foot-1, 155 pound athletic prospect that showed well during the Junior Future Games. On the mound he ran his fastball up to 80 mph while also displaying bat control at the dish. Posted a team high 94 mph exit velocity while running a 6.98 sixty and throwing 84 mph from the outfield. |
Scott Leonard 3B / OF / Stevenson, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 4 / POS: 1
Report: Scott Leonard is a 5-foot-9, 165 pound two way prospect that is arguably the top bat in the class. Was a member of the 2021 Team Michigan Junior Future Games team that won the championship at Lakepointe. Hitting in the middle of the order showed a polished approach and raw pop. Posted a 93 mph exit velocity while getting up to 82 mph on the mound. |
Tyler Finkbeiner RHP / SS / Anchor Bay, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 5 / POS: 3
Report: Tyler Finkbeiner is a 6-foot-4, 170 pound two way prospect that showed well during the Future 50 this summer earning his invitation to the Junior Future Games. A long wiry prospect creates leverage at the plate generating an 89 mph exit velocity, while throwing 80 mph across the infield. On the mound he excels driving well downhill with an easy loose arm action. Runs his fastball up to 83 mph with spin rates in the 2300’s. |
Ryan Louch OF / 2B / Clare, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 6 / POS: 2
Report: Ryan Louch is a 5-foot-10, 160 pound prospect that plays both infield and outfield. Hits from a low crouched position working the middle half of the diamond. Profiles as a top of the order spark plug hitter. Posted an 85 mph exit velocity, ran a 7.25 sixty and threw 81 mph across the diamond. |
Luke LaCourse RHP / 3B / Bay City Western, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 7 / POS: 4
Report: Luke LaCourse is a 6-foot-3, 175 pound two way prospect with a long athletic frame. Has a feel around the bag at 3B showing soft hands and clean throwing arm across the diamond 82 mph. Working the middle and left center area of the field at the plate with a lot of line drives has an 87 mph exit velocity. Along with asserting his dominance on the hill with a three pitch mix throwing his fastball up to 83 mph. |
Brett Faccio RHP / 3B / Midland, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 8 / POS: 5
Report: Brett Faccio is a 6-foot-1, 165 pound two way prospect that displays athletic ability on the diamond. At the plate has a rhythmic motion getting his hands through the zone while making consistent hard contact at the plate. Drives balls from gap to gap while creating some lift with an 87 mph exit velocity. Shows a three pitch arsenal on the mound with a fastball up to 82 mph. |
Cash Van Ameyde OF / LHP / Brother Rice, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 9 / POS: 3
Report: Cash Van Ameyde is a 5-foot-7, 135 pound outfield prospect that has a quiet set up at the plate keeping his hands back displaying an easy smooth stroke at the plate. Line drive hitter that sprays the gaps consistently. Profiles as a top of the order guy who plays centerfield. Ran a 7.07 sixty time, while throwing 80 mph from the OF and posting an 84 mph exit velocity. |
Jake Leonard SS / 2B / Stevenson, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 10 / POS: 1
Report: Jake Leonard is a 5-foot-7, 145 pound middle infield prospect that swings from the left side. An aggressive approach at the plate with a violent swing he does not get cheated. Hitter that hits to all fields while posting an 85 mph exit velocity. Clean actions in the field working well through the ball with a fast release threw 82 mph across the diamond and also ran a 7.15 sixty time. |
