MOKAN Fall Trials: Infielder Analysis

Prep Baseball Report Missouri/Kansas held the MOKAN Fall Trials on Saturday, September 28 at the Urban Youth Academy in Kansas City, Missouri. Over forty players from region participated.
Player profiles have been updated with running times and velocities along with a video of their performance.
Players can now updated their profiles with a ProspectPlus subscription, while scouts and recruiters can add players on ScoutPlus.
Here is a closer look at the infielders from the event, listed in alphabetical order.
Infielders
Lee Allen SS / 2B / Lincoln College Prep, MO / 2021Allen is a 5-foot-8, 160-pound, right-handed hitting middle infielder in Missouri’s 2021 class. Allen has a stocky build, strong frame and makes athletic actions defensively. During batting practice, 84 mph exit velocity, starts in an athletic posture and remains throughout, easy swing that he repeats, balanced throughout, some rhythm to hands, contact to all fields during round. On the infield, fluid footwork, clean transfers, three-quarter release, accurate throws across the infield, positional velocity tops at 75 mph. |
Landen Baker SS / RHP / Nemaha Central , KS / 2021Baker is a long and lean 6-foot, 150-pound, right-handed hitting middle infielder and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2021 class. Baker ran a 7.78 second 60 and 5.01 home-to-first. At the plate, exit velocity of 80 mph, starts in an upright posture, quiet load, in line stride, quick hands, aggressive back hip, uphill tilt to swing, primarily pop fly contact sprayed to all fields during batting practice. On the infield, attacks the baseball, clean transfers, moves well side-to-side, low three-quarter release, mostly accurate throws, 72 mph positional velo. |
Adam Consiglio RHP / 1B / Shawnee Mission Northwest, KS / 2020Consiglio is a 6-foot, 205-pound, right-handed hitting corner infielder in Kansas’ 2020 class. He ran a 7.94 second 60 and a 4.80 home-to-first. At the plate, Consiglio posted an exit velocity of 90 mph, starts slightly open at the plate, simple weight shift in to his load position, some rhythm to his hands, longer but in line stride, leverages front side, quick bat, looks to lift the baseball, primarily fly ball contact during batting practice. Seldon Deemer OF / 3B / Shawnee Mission North, KS / 2022Deemer is a 5-foot-10, 160-pound, right-handed hitting outfielder and corner infielder in Kansas’ 2022 class. He ran a 7.69 second 60 and 4.96 home-to-first. At the plate, Deemer posted an exit velocity of 79 mph, athletic stance, slightly opened, minimal load with hands, in line stride, some rhythm with hands, leverages front side, showed a middle of the field approach during batting practice.
