Last week, the PBR Georgia team updated and published the state's Class of 2020 rankings. It's been another jam-packed summer circuit, and it's made for a seismic shift throughout the '20 board. Even inside the top-10, there's been a ton of notable movement. We've already detailed, at length, the 10 best prospects in this senior class, and we covered the prospects trending north in last Thursday's Risers post, as well as last Friday's Newcomers, the prospects who've made their debuts on the rankings board in this most recent update. Today, we're additionally outlining 10 prospects to know and continue following, considering they don't yet have a home at the next level.

The 9 names below are certainly capable of helping a program in fall and spring of 2020 and 2021, so check them out.

TOP UNCOMMITTED

Jake Haynes RHP / SS / Prince Avenue Christian School, GA / 2020 Rankings  StateRank: 55 / POS: 16 Haynes was a standout at the Top Prospect Games earlier this year and is still looking for the right fit. He has a heavy fastball that he can run up into the upper-80s. Don't look for this young righty to be on the board too much longer, as it is just a matter of time before a school locks down this kind of talent.

Dwight Banks SS / 2B / McEachern , GA / 2020 Rankings  StateRank: 62 / POS: 9 Long and projectable, Banks is one of the more interesting uncommitted prospects in the state. He might have as high a ceiling as any of the uncommitted prospects on this board, too. Banks is a rangy defender with a solid approach and a chance to grow into power.

Brycen Jewell C / RHP / Jefferson , GA / 2020 Rankings  StateRank: 64 / POS: 9 Have been a fan of Jewell since the State Playoffs last Spring. He is a medium-framed right-hander, with athletic, smooth actions on the mound. His fastball has been up to 88 mph with a feel to spin the ball. Jewell will be one to watch at the Upperclass Games in November.

Cole Smith SS / 2B / Heritage, GA / 2020 Rankings  StateRank: 65 / POS: 10 This medium-framed shortstop is still on the market. He has a high baseball IQ and good strength at the plate. Defensively, he has the range to stick, to go along with plenty of arm. Smith had a strong showing this summer at LakePoint for a robust DRB Elite ball club.

Josh Davis 2B / OF / Cartersville, GA / 2020 Rankings  StateRank: 66 / POS: 2 Davis is a strong, athletic, right-handed-hitting infielder/outfielder combo with a flat stroke that stays in the zone well. Davis will flash some pull-side power and has been a mainstay in the Cartersville High School lineup for a couple years. He's a versatile player with some offensive ability and all-around, usable strength.

Brendan York SS / 2B / Mill Creek, GA / 2020 Rankings  StateRank: 67 / POS: 10 It has been fun to watch York of the last couple springs as he anchors the middle of the diamond for Mill Creek.  York is a hard-nosed player who can defend. Offensively, he has sneaky pop for a smaller guy and can run. Another uncommitted middle-of-the-field player that is still looking for the right fit.

Spencer Borgel LHP / Hillgrove, GA / 2020 Rankings  StateRank: 73 / POS: 12 Medium-framed left-hander with a fastball that can reach the upper-80s. Borgel has feel for his secondary stuff and, when it's on, can be dominant. Look for this talented southpaw to have a home at the next level soon.

James Heramb-Eckert SS / RHP / Grovetown, GA / 2020 Rankings  StateRank: 77 / POS: 16 Yet another athletic middle-of-the-field prospect who can really pick it defensively. Heramb-Eckert plays the game with a hop and shows a good baseball clock and instincts. Offensively, he needs to add some strength and incorporate his lower half more, but the bat-to-ball skills are in place, just needs add that strength to his quality of contact.

Sam Stewart C / Lakeview Academy, GA / 2020 Rankings  StateRank: 79 / POS: 10 Stewart is a strong-bodied catching prospect who has solid catch-and-throw skills but has not yet found his fit for the next level. He has a strong right-handed bat and can drive the ball into the gaps, too. After a big 2019 campaign for Lakeview Academy, look for Stewart to be at the forefront of another strong spring attack in 2020.
