Georgia Class of 2024 Rankings: Biggest Risers
August 24, 2023
After a busy summer full of events, the Class of 2024 Player Rankings was long overdue for an update as these players have just started their final year of their high school careers. There were a ton of new names who entered into the fold, as well as a number of others who continue to elevate their game, warranting plenty of movement and expansion (now 300 players) to the list. Most of the same names are still inside the Top-10 from the last update, but there's some shakeup within.
Yesterday, our staff updated the state’s present senior class formally, expanding the list to feature 300 names with plenty of movement throughout. We detailed the new top-10 extensively inside our official release, which you can find HERE.
Today we’re highlighting some names that rose up our rankings, with detailed scout notes from our year-long coverage that consisted of showcases, tournaments, spring looks, etc. These prospects are trending upward as they begin their senior seasons and there’s a handful of them that remain uncommitted, too.

BIGGEST RISERS
Levi Clark C / RHP / Walton, GA / 2024Spring 2023: .333 AVG, .486 OBP, 1.142 OPS, 9 2B, 3 3B, 6 HR, 34 RBI and 10 K's |
Tate Strickland RHP / OF / Harrison, GA / 2024Tennessee commit, Tate Strickland has made big jump into the summer and left a lasting impression on the baseball industry at East Coast Pro where our Director of College Scouting, David Seifert saw him up to 98. He is going to be one of the most watched arms this spring as 2024 draft talks begins to come into the picture. |
Owen Anchors OF / 1B / Dunwoody , GA / 2024The 2022 Future Gamer has continued to prove why he is one of the best pure hitters in the state for the 2024 class. The Clemson commit bursts onto the scene at the Future Games last year. His raw power was put on full display in BP and he carried it into game play on one of our strongest teams to date. |
Dimitri Angelakos SS / RHP / Etowah, GA / 2024Summer 2023: 31 IP, 1 ER, 37 K's, 1 BB |
Cade Brown 3B / 2B / Parkview , GA / 2024Spring 2023: .486, 14 HR, 52 RBI 19 SB |
Adam McKelvey LHP / 1B / Roswell, GA / 2024Georgia Tech commit. McKelvey is one of those high schoolers that grew early, and showed the ability to turn into a power arm one day. We saw him back in 2021, just learning how to move on the mound at 78-82. Fast forward 2 years, and he has added strength to the entire frame with some of the strongest intent and mound presence in the class. The pace of the delivery carries the 6-4 230-pound frame down the mound with ease. The south paw ran it up to 89 this summer and was consitently 86-88 all spring and summer. McKelvey is an arm that could easily find his was into the top 30 in our final update after next spring. |
Tate Sirmans 3B / SS / Lowndes, GA / 2024The 7A state champ looks college ready when he walks onto the field. The frame and intagibles are advanced for the class, and the comeptiveness makes him that much better. He was able to get healthy about halfway through the year for Lowndes, and was a key piece into getting them to the state championship. The swing is simple and effective, and has shown flashes of some easy pop that will translate well into the SEC. |
Preston Bonn C / OF / Brookwood, GA / 2024Bonn has steadily proven himself over the last 3 years as one of the top catchers in the class. He has put in the work, and it has shown over the spring and summer this last year. The swing has always been there, but with the stength added it has made him move quicker in all assets of his game. He is a work horse behind the plate, and has the pop to be a real power threat at Kennesaw State. |
Chase Fralick 3B / C / McIntosh, GA / 2024Auburn commit. Spring 2023: .475 AVG, .644 OBP, 8 HR, 56 RBI.
|
Asher Sabom RHP / 3B / North Cobb Christian, GA / 2024Sabom has always been one with a ton of upside, and this summer he put it all together with 33 strikours in 29 innings pitched. The fastball was up to 93 and opponents batted .186 off of him. He has been an exciting two-way player to wacth on high school, but will surely be an early canditate to see mound time for the Bulldogs as an underclassmen. |
Carson Page SS / 2B / Lowndes, GA / 2024The 7A State Champ and Georgia Tech commit has been one of those players that always figures out a way to get the job done. He is a grinder, competitor and everything in between. He is always going to handle himself in the field and at the plate. The actions in the field are smooth and effecient, plus he will lay it on the line when a tough play needs to be made. The bat speed packs a punch at the plate. He finds consitent contact with the barrell, and can send one in the gap when he gets his pitch. |
Aidan Larkin SS / 3B / Cartersville , GA / 2024Summer 2023: .413 AVG, 15 2B, 2 3B, 5 HR, 9 K's |
