Georgia Tech Commit. 5-foot-7, 165 pounds. It’s easy to talk about how good of a baseball player Page is, but that doesn’t happen without some incredible athleticism. This ball of muscle isn’t just good at playing the game, he’s also freakishly athletic. Carson is the best punter in the state, with an insanely strong+accurate leg. His skills as punting skills on the football field just speak to his elite hand-eye coordination, fast twitch fibers, strength, and aptitude. Watching him play both sports, the first thing you notice is the balance, precision and timing are better than everyone else's. His elite instincts and footwork in the MIF allow him to read hops perfectly and cut down the distance on throws. He makes difficult plays look easy with soft hands, the ability to make accurate throws off balance, change arm angles with ease depending on the play, and pop up with incredible quickness on diving plays. The reason I listed him as UTIL is because I believe he can play any position on the field well, including SS/CF/C. His exchange is lightning quick, and allows him to release the ball in a flash with pinpoint accuracy. The arm will end up MLB avg easily, but plays up to MLB avg now. But his offensive game is even more impressive, with rare bat 2 ball skills that produce elite contact rates and consistent XBH’s. Page has high level pitch recognition and can manipulate the barrel with ease to square up any pitch in any location. These intangibles are what separate him from many hitters across the country as there is no plan of attack that will be successful against him. With his near perfect swing mechanics and no holes in the path well before his SR year of HS, I believe this will be one of the best hitters in college baseball one day.
