This week, Prep Baseball Report is hosting its premier summer underclass, which for the first time taking place at LakePoint in Georgia. The Future Games features over 400 of the top uncommitted 2021 and 2022 players from across the country in one place and is one of the most heavily scouted events of the year, with all 30 MLB clubs represented and well over 200 college coaches coming each year to follow the four days of action.
Players took part in a workout day on Wednesday, which will be followed by three days of games. Teams were selected regionally by PBR's local scouting staffs, with Team Mid-Atlantic being made up of the top players from Maryland, Delaware, DC, and Virginia. Here is our staff's notes on players who had standout days during Wednesday's combine:
-St. Christopher's 2021 SS Griffin O'Ferrall had a strong all-around day, running a 6.62 in his laser-timed 60-yard dash and showing some batspeed with an exit velocity of 88. Was smooth on the infield with soft hands.

-Maryland HomeSchool 2021 OF Ehi Okojie also had a monster combine. He ran a 6.72 60 yard dash and showed arm strength with 87 for his positional velocity. Twitchy athlete who posted Team Mid-Atlantic's top exit velocity at 101.
-Severna Park 2021 SS Jackson Merrill showed a lot of potential. A lefthanded hitter with a pretty swing and power potential, his exit velocity was 87. He also showed some arm strength with an infield velocity of 85.
‘21 SS Jackson Merrill (@PBRMaryland) calmly put together one of the better rounds at the plate. LHH has plenty of room to fill out 6’ 150lbs frame. Effortless gap-to-gap w/ more to come. #PBRFutureGames pic.twitter.com/Q7AZyrW9ya

-St. John's 2021 OF DM Jefferson was also quick on his 60, running 6.74. A lot of projection and athleticism to his frame. Has some batspeed and power potential with an exit velocity that was 91.

-St. John's 2021 OF James Wood has a monstrous frame that still has a lot of projection left to him. Wood ran a 6.81 with long strides, long fast arm that was 88 from the outfield, also showed some batspeed present with more to come, his exit velocity was 90.
‘21 OF James Wood’s (@PBRMaryland) frame immediately stands out at 6’6” 215, and the upside is apparent. Flatter path w/ power projection. Much more too come. #PBRfuturegames pic.twitter.com/YV6edN6LRT
