DOUGLAS COUNTY 12, CHEROKEE TRAIL 11

2022 OF Tyler Stonebraker, Douglas County (Minot State football commit). Strong build with game time speed. Has ability to steal bases. Stonebraker got DC back into the game with a 4th inning three-run blast to right field. Has quick hands and strength.

2023 RHP/OF Hunter Gotschall (Uncommitted). Gotschall is one of the top pitchers in Colorado's Class.  On this day his 5th inning two-run homer created the momentum needed for DC. Big, strong, square build. Shows athleticism. His future is on the mound. Past Team Colorado Future Games team member. FB ranges from 85-89 with ++SL… Great follow in Colorado.

2023 RHP Max Stanley, Douglas County (Wichita State commit). Tough 1st inning giving up five Runs to a high energy Cherokee Trail offense. Stanley settled in for the next four innings and looked great. His “hold’ gave Douglas County a chance to climb back into game and collect a 12-11 victory. Stanley's FB 89-92 and continues to climb the velocity ladder. Attacking delivery. Can see refinement in his delivery.  CB 74-77 and throws it with ++arm speed. Highly competitive.

2023, Bowen Tabola, switch-hitting Catcher, Cherokee Trail (Uncommitted). Swinging a hot bat, Tabola was 2-for-5 with 3 RBI. His double and triple helped Cherokee Trail get off to an early lead. Past Team Colorado Future Games member, Tabola is a solid receiver with a consistent sub 2.0 poptime, 1.95 in game. From the left side Bowen turned around a 91mph FB. Hand are quick and stay inside well.  Middle of the field approach from both sides. Would consider Bowen Tabola one of the top uncommitted catchers in the State.

2023 1B/C Tommy Munch, Cherokee Trail (Uncommitted).  Munch had a 3-for-4 day with 3 RBI. Solid base to hit from, uses strong lower half and has great rotational acceleration. Munch’s hands are quick and have direct shortened path to ball. Hitting in the 3 hole of a loaded lineup, impressive start to the year. Hitting .480 with 12 H, 16 RBI.

BROOMFIELD 9, THUNDER RIDGE 2

2024 RHP Brock Lansville, ThunderRidge HS (Uncommitted). Brock is one of the top-ranked players in Colorado's 2024 class. The solidly built sophomore has a very advanced approach at the plate and is a very disciplined hitter. He does of good job of keeping his hands inside of the baseball and creates hard contact with gap power, he can drive the ball the other way with good life and carry. Brock is a good competitor who has excellent make up and will have the opportunity to continue to excel at this game.  Originally committed to Arizona State, Brock has reopened his recruiting.

2022 LHP Hunter Holzemer (San Francisco commit). Hunter is a crafty left hander who showed a solid three pitch mix with a quick arm. His mechanics are very sound and he pitches aggressively and attacks the strike zone. He worked at 85-86, touching 87. The fastball is sneaky fast and appears to explode on the hitter as he mixes it in with his 75-76 mph curveball and then a 71 mph change up, at times his change up appeared to be his best pitch and he showed an advanced feel for the change up. He maintained his velocity on a cold, windy day and only allowed one run over the course of 5 innings with 6 strikeouts.

2022 C Camden Ross, Broomfield HS (Wabash Valley JC commit). Camden shows excellent skills behind the plate, both with his receiving ability as well as his throwing ability, he shows sound footwork and excellent quickness for a large, athletic frame. Camden also demonstrates good leadership skills and understands how to handle and work with a wide variety of pitchers.

Offensively, his large, athletic frame translates into solid, hard contact and shows good power potential.  His hands work well and he appears to be able to control the barrel and maintain good balance throughout the swing.

HOLY FAMILY 5, CHATFIELD 4

2023 RHP Carson Sherrill, Chatfield HS (Uncommitted). Carson went 4 ⅔ innings, 7k’s, 1BB, and 3ER. Fastball sat 82-84mph, toppING out at 86mph with arm side run. Slider was 75-77mph with two-plane break that kept hitters off balance. Changeup sat 72-73mph. Carson settled into a rhythm after giving up 3 runs in the first. Good arm action with sound mechanics made for a repeatable delivery.

2023 OF/LHP Parker Murrow, Chatfield HS (Charleston Southern commit). Parker went 2 for 3 with a walk and a double. Middle of the field approach. Quick hands. Barrel finds the ball often. At our Future Games Parker had an exit velo of 93mph.

2022 C Andrew Syverson, Holy Family HS (Uncommitted). Andrew went 2-for-4 with a double. Creates upper and lower half separation. Quick hands. Showed good receiving skills behind the plate. Accurate throws.

2023 C Maddox Hodges, Chatfield HS (Uncommitted). Maddox showed great receiving skills and had sound mechanics when blocking. Quick feet and hands. Arm action is good which leads to accurate throws. Balanced hitter. Went 1-for-2 with a walk. Kept hands inside well. Middle of the field approach.

WINDSOR 1, MEAD 0

Great pitching matchup between Windsor and Mead on Saturday morning. 2022 RHP Jackson Adam, Windsor (Missouri Western State commit). Threw a one-hit, complete game gem. FB sat at 81-84 and was very consistent in the zone. Pitched both sides of the plate. CB 74 comes out slow with heavy rotation and uses a split at 66-68 that has rotation. Adam threw all pitches for strikes. Pitches solely from the stretch. High leg-lift with repeatable delivery. Big Upside.

2022 RHP Shane Palmer, Mead (Uncommitted) matched shutout numbers until the bottom of the 7th.  Palmer threw 6 ⅓ innings with 5 H and 1 ER. His FB was consistent 78-81, with a slow CB at 66-68. Big frame RHP with over-the-top delivery. Created a mix of FB and CB and kept hitters off balance.

LOVELAND 16, THOMPSON VALLEY 1

Two of the top teams in the Loveland area squared off for a Saturday afternoon matchup. This game was all Loveland as they ran away with a 16-1 victory. Had the opportunity to see one of the top athletes in the Northern Colorado area toe the rubber. Football, basketball and baseballer... 2023 RHP Garrett Harstad, Loveland HS (Uncommitted) threw 5 easy innings giving up 4 hits, 1 earned run and 7 K. FB 82-84 with good arm-side run. Over-the-top delivery. Creates good rhythm through delivery with easy arm action. Mixes well in all counts. CB/SL is 67-68. Even quick pitches at times. Athleticism shows.  High ceiling in baseball if that's the path he chooses.

2023 OF Hudson Voggesser, Loveland (Uncommitted). Another athlete that stands out. Voggesser has great speed and quick twitch movements. He was 3-4 with 3 RBI and a double. Pull side tendency.
