Ventura, Calif. - The Uncommitted Spotlight Series takes a dive back into the 2025 class as this class begins its SR. year of High School there are still several talented uncommitted players in this class who figure prominently in our Class of 2025 Rankings.  All players featured within our Uncommitted Spotlight series are ones that college coaches and fans should be keeping their eyes on over the coming months.

We invite you to get to know them through the eyes of our Prep Baseball California staff of scouts both through our in person looks at players and/or the data-backed numbers collected at our events with our partnered companies. TrackMan, Blast Motion, and Swift Performance provide comparable data to project and evaluate players. All of these systems come together to give a clear picture at what colleges will get when a players steps onto their campus.

Today, we put the spotlight on the number 170 ranked player in the 2025 class in SoCal '25 OF Druw Frost from Pt. Loma High School. Frost catches eye with an athletic frame at 6' 180 lbs. that features wiry present strength that projects to add more too. His athleticism is solid including a 7.3 60 with a 19.7 MPH max run speed. He shows solid arm strength with carry to his throws that gives him potential to play either corner OF spot and if he can increase his athleticism has CF potential.

While his potential to handle multiple spots in the OF is intriguing the potential he flashes as a LH hitter with feel for his barrel and ability to get on base.. His operation at the plate during BP and game play is simple and consistent. He starts from a wider set up with a small load and quiet hands that goes into a consistent feel for his timing and appraoch. He doesn't sell out for power in his approach during BP showing a smoooth balanced swing that finds the barrel that plays at a high level during game. Leading his Pt. Loma High team in batting average this past spring while putting up a .841 OPS in the spring time carried into a very good summer of live looks. Central Coast Scout Steven Hardesty saw him on the showcase circuit with an impressive showing that included multiple hits and a strong BP look which earned him an invite to the CA State Games. At CA State Games Frost took very professional BP with barrels through the middle of the field to the pull side and then in 2 games picked up multiple hits including a pair of triples hit at 95+ MPH on Trackman exit velocity readings. His feel to hit is readily apparent in game play which combined with quick hands, balanced lower half and feel to hit the ball in the air on the barrel gives him top of the order offensive potential.

As he prepares for his SR. campaign in the strong San Diego baseball hotbed for Pt. Loma High Frost is a talented uncommitted '25 who should be firmly on the radar of college programs as a LH hitter with impact potential for their future lineups.
