The Year in Review: No. 4 5A State Title

Harrison High School defeated White Hall High School 2-1 to win the 5A State Championship.
The game started off hot with both teams scoring runs in the first. White Hall Hs scored 1 run in the top of the first when 2015 OF Kirk Baugh drove a ball over the left-field wall with 2 outs. Harrison answered with 2 runs on two singles by 2015 OF Silas Humphries, and 2015 INF Hunter Humphrey.
That was all 2015 LHP Andrew Fitzgerald needed, Fitzgerald pitched the next 5 innings shutting down the Bulldog offense scattering 3 hits. He was relieved when 2015 CIF Alec Hartz doubled down the right-field line to lead off the 7th. 2015 RHP Hunter Marshall worked around the double recording 2 strike outs to pick up the save.
White Hall picked up a great performance by 2015 RHP Daniel Sprinkle who threw 6 innings allowing 2 earned runs on 3 hits while striking out 5.
Harrison wins their first state title since 2008, while White Hall falls just shy of defending their state title in 2014.
