Prep Baseball Report
This week there have been some changes to the Top 20 polls. Last week was a tough week for several teams in the Top 20, several teams’ drops games throughout the week.
Bryant remains No.1 despite falling to conference rival 4-0, the Hornets bounced back sweeping a double header on Friday. Conway stays No.2, they didn’t jump Bryant after their big win due to dropping a game Friday at Greenwood.
New to the poll this week are the Rogers Mounties, Magnolia Panthers, and the Pea Ridge Blackhawks. Rogers leads the 7A west with a conference record of 5-1 being lead on the mound and at the plate by 2016 LHP/OF Harrison Hefley. Hefley is an Arkansas commit. Magnolia has played consistently this spring with a 12-3 record, they had a big win against Lakeside to move into second into the competitive 5A south. Pea Ridge looks like the front runner in the 1-4A after sweeping last week, the big win coming in extra innings at Prairie Grove.
Springdale, Heritage, and Horatio all fall from the polls after suffering big losses last week. Still plenty of time to bounce back, but as of now look to be behind the contenders, in their league or classification.
