As we move through the season, I want to highlight the next group of names you need to know. Over the next few weeks, I will highlight uncommitted 2017 grads at every position. This week we look at some of the top uncommitted right-handers from around the state of Arkansas

2017 RHP Tyler Gregg, Farmington HS
Gregg is a 6-foot 210-pound right-hander with wide shoulders and an average build. He commanded the upper half of the strike zone consistently with a fastball of 86-88 mph, flashing a few 89 mph. His consistent secondary pitch was his 11/5 curveball thrown 72-74 mph. He mixed in a slider and a changeup but did not throw either of them with conviction. He pitches from an H ¾ arm slot with a quick arm with a slight stab. He collapses out of his balance point and rushes to the plate. If he would stay in his lower half on a consistent bases he would show velocity improvements. Overall Gregg has a quick arm with a solid secondary pitch.

2017 RHP Brett Brockington, Cabot HS
Brockington is a 6-foot-3 170-pound right-hander with an athletic frame and a lanky build. He pitches from an H ¾ arm slot with a quick loose arm. He has a simple drop and drive with regular effort. He has some rhythm and stays online throughout his delivery. His fastball works 84-87 mph with slight sink. He throws a 71-73 curveball with 11/5 shape and early break. Overall Brockington is projectable with a clean arm action with solid athleticism.

2017 RHP Hayden Arnold Watson Chapel HS
Arnold is a 6-foot-2 170-pound right-hander with an athletic frame and an athletic frame. He works from an H ¾ arm slot with a loose quick arm. He has a repeatable delivery with easy effort and an average balance point. He located his fastball with slight run 83-85 mph. His secondary were effective, he located his curveball was throw 70-72 mph with early 11/5 break. His changeup had more deception thrown with near fastball arm speed and 74-76 mph with arm side run. Overall Arnold is a projectable right-hander with a loose arm. He will improve if he will get consistent extension to home plate.

2017 RHP Jacob Williams, Bentonville HS
Williams is a 6-foot, 170-pound right-hander with a medium frame and an athletic build. He works from a H3/4 arm slot with a short quick arm. His works fastball 83-86 mph and compliments the fastball with an 11/5 curveball with sharp late break 72-74 mph. He did a good job repeating his mechanics, and rhythm throughout his delivery. Overall Williams is a projectable right-hander with a short quick arm action that locates two quality pitches consistently.

2017 RHP Jaylen Deshazier, Pine Bluff HS
Deshazier is a 6-foot-2 170-pound right-hander with a large frame and an athletic build. He commands two pitches to keep hitters off balance. His fastball works 84-87 mph with late life through the strike zone. He throws a 12/6 breaking ball with late action thrown 74-77 mph. He pitches from a H ¾ arm slot with a clean loose arm. Mechanically he is raw but has a feel for the strike zone. As he cleans up mechanics and timing issues he projects to throw hard with his arm action and frame. Overall Deshazier is a projectable prospect that has competes in the strike zone with two quality pitches.
