Most Viewed Player Profiles of 2015: No. 10 Jake Jessell

After drilling down into our google analytics we have compiled a list of the ten most visited Pennsylvania profiles on the Prep Baseball Report website in 2015.  During the month of December we will count down to the end of the year with a look at those profiles that were most viewed.

No. 10 Jake Jessell

A physical, 6-foot-1, 225-pounds, Jessell attacks the baseball with a bat in his hands. The right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance, takes a short stride, and gets his hands to a good launch position. Jessel shows legitimate power potential with his aggressiveness and 95 mph bat exit velocity. Defensively, he shows a soft glove hand and good transfer, while making accurate throws with pop times of 1.97-2.05 and arm strength of 79-mph from the crouch. While not a burner, Jessell will by no means be a base clogger either (7.40 60-yard dash).

Physical and aggressive are apt terms when describing Jessell on the mound as well. The right-hander's fastball sits 86-87 and has the capability of touching 90 mph. He featurs two distinct breaking balls -- a curveball with sharp 11/5 bite and a slider with more horizontal cut action -- with both offerings registering in the mid-70s. He also utilizes a change-up at 75-76 with late sink and fade.

Jessell, ranked No. 6 in PA and No. 122 in the PBR combined Class of 2016 rankings, signed his national letter of intent with Pittsburgh in November. The talented backstop has been selected to represent Pennsylvania in the PBR Super 60 Pro Showcase in February.
