Initial Class of 2016 Rankings Released

JessellEvaluating prospects who have yet to play a high school baseball game and then projecting where they will be in four years' time is a bit like forecasting the weather. With that said, we are rolling out our initial Class of 2016 rankings in Pennsylvania with the 10 best freshmen we have seen to date.

Over the coming months and years this list will grow by more than 200 prospects and some of these players may not appear in or even near the Top 10 when this class graduates. What we do know at this time is that all ten of these players have the talent to be extremely successful at the high school level and beyond.

JJ BledayThe top two prospects, C/RHP Jake Jessell (Woodland Hills HS) and LHP/OF J.J. Bleday (Titusville HS) have also been added to the Team Pennsylvania roster for the Midwest Future Games this August on the campus of Indiana University. Prep Baseball Report currently operates in eight states and this will be the first time that each of the eight states will carry two younger prospects. The event has traditionally been for players who have completed their sophomore year of high school.

Mason Nadeau (North Penn HS) No. 3 and Braxton Giavedoni (Punxsutawney HS) No. 4 are two outfield prospects with the potential to affect games with their foot speed and the ability to swing the bat. 

Following is a look at the entire list of players in the initial Class of 2016 rankings. This list will be updated following the high school baseball season in June.
