This was the first time we had seen Basham, and he didn't disappoint. Offensively, starts in a slightly spread, athletic stance. Showed great barrel control through the zone and drove most of the pitches he saw. Defensively, showed adequate feet and a low center of gravity while fielding. 82 mph arm across the diamond which was good for 6th best at the event. Also, ran a 7.15 - sixty coupled with a 85 mph exit velo during live BP. On the mound, FB sat 79-81, T82. Secondary pitches are developing but alot to like out of the arm action and delivery. More velocity to come. Overall, a very solid day for Basham and has proven himself as a player to follow in the 2022 class.
