Conger commanded the zone well through five innings of work. He worked well down the mound and utilized his fastball well around the corners. Forced multiple double play balls as well to get out of jams. He worked his fastball in the 83-85 mph range, topping out at 86 mph. Went to a hard breaking ball at 73-74 mph. Final line: 5 IP, W, 7 K, 2 H, R.
Conger, an unsigned senior, was impressive during his outing on the mound this weekend. Standing at an athletic 6-foot, 172-pound frame with room for added strength as he continues to mature into his frame. Coming in out of the ‘pen, Conger tossed 3.2 innings allowing no runs on two hits, three walks and striking out four batters. Conger pounded the zone with mostly two pitches, a fastball 83-85, T86 mph that he was able to locate to different parts of the zone and a 12/6 curveball that he is able to throw for strikes and induce swing-and-misses.
Conger stands 6-foot, 172 pounds with an athletic build and likely more size and strength coming. Conger impressed at the event as a two way prospect. First, he showed off his athleticism with a sub 7.00 second 60 yard dash (6.99 seconds). He back spins baseballs with a direct path and quality barrel contact. In the infield he displays steady and reliable hands and notable arm strength (87 mph) across the infield. On the mound, Conger has a loose arm and a fastball up to 85 mph and heavy arm arm side run and feel for the zone. His curveball is a short quick mover only 10 mph off his fastball with the ability to land in the zone. He also has a changeup that tunnels and looks like his heater out of the land rounding out a solid 3 pitch mix arsenal.

Conger is a name who consistently performs well in front of our staff and this fall was no different. At The Rock during the fall, Conger twirled a complete game gem. Throughout his outing he sat in the low-80s with his fastball and utilized a three-pitch mix to tally seven strikeouts. Conger is a strike thrower and if he continues to add mass onto his 6-foot, 160-pound frame we could start to see more velocity from this uncommitted arm.
RHP Tyler Conger (Waukesha South, 2024) has performed in-game for our staff multiple times, most recently at The Rock this past summer. The 5-foot-11, 165-pound sophomore displayed a quality three-pitch mix at Saturday’s event, throwing his entire arsenal around the zone and for strikes. Conger’s fastball played in the low-80s, an uptick from previous looks, and he paired it up with a sinking changeup (averaged 18.1 inches of horizontal movement) while landing his curveball for strikes, too.
Conger got the start and turned in a strong outing, striking out 13 batters while effectively mixing speeds throughout. He’s a competitive strike-thrower that consistently performs each time he’s called upon to take the mound.
