Showed a live arm, touching 95 mph and sitting 92-94 during his three-inning appearance. A JUCO transfer from Iowa Western, the 6-foot-5, 230-pound righthander showcased a four-pitch mix, including an 83-87 mph slider, a 77-81 mph bender and a firm 86-88 mph change up. Control has been an issue for Chadwick in the past, but 23 of his 39 pitches (66%) went for strikes on Sunday. An unsigned 19th round pick (Reds) last July, Chadwick will look to improve his stock in the MAC this spring. 

Closed the game out for the Reds with two innings. He allowed a hit and walk while striking out four. He pitches from a clean, easy delivery and sat 89-92. The fastball was true and his slider had flat break at 74-76.

West Virginia commit. 6-foot-5, 200-pound right-handed pitcher, long projectable frame, lean with room to fill. Delivery worked online, tall and fall type, low effort, clean easy through release. Arm action is live and loose, plus arm speed, high ¾ slot, clean path. Fastball reached 94 mph, sat 91-93 mph, maintained 87-89 mph out of the stretch. Breaking ball played sharp, 74-77 mph, lateral action at the higher end of velo, gets more depth at lower end, varied 10/4-11/5 shapes. High ceiling arm who is a follow 2020 MLB draft prospect.

West Virginia commit. 6-foot-5, 200-pound right-handed pitcher who came in relief for his team on Friday night. Pitched only one inning and did not allow a hit. Loose arm action out of a high ¾ slot, tall and fall delivery. Fastball sat in the high 80’s, maxed at 93 mph, and played mostly straight. Curveball had tight 11/5 shape and was 76 mph.

Positional Profile: RHP One of the higher ceilings in WI's 2020 class, likely 2020 draft follow who continues to polish his repertoire.
Body: 6-foot-5, 200-pounds. Long athletic frame, highly projectable, long limbed and lean.
Delivery: Tall and fall delivery, easy low effort, short stride for height, gets downhill and out over front side well. Smooth throughout and athletic finish.
Arm Action: RH. Live arm, plus arm speed, high 3/4 slot, loose clean arm action.
FB: T92, 89-90 mph. Easy velo, played mostly straight, occasional tilt. 
CB: 76-80 mph. 11/5 shape, acted SL at times, thrown hard with a purpose, tight.
CH: 79-80 mph. Arm side sink, showed above average feel, especially out of the stretch.

Verbally committed to West Virginia.

Chadwick came out of the gate at OK Limited Series humming fastballs at 87-90, and was dominant for the first three innings creating a downward plane from his 6-foot-5, 187-pound frame and high ¾ slot. The frame stands out as he stands tall atop the mound with wide, broad shoulders and a strong backside. His slider showed some tilt at 76-77 with late-breaking action, and he demonstrated the ability to bury it late in counts for swings and misses. His arm works freely with a medium-sized swing before showing off quick hand speed out front. The game got away from him a bit in the fourth inning, but there is a lot of upside for the big right-hander moving forward, and I’m looking forward to seeing him pitch again next week at the Future Games.

6-foot-5, 187-pound lanky, athletic two-way prospect. On the mound, short, loose arm action, quick arm speed, high ¾ arm slot, good balance, easy effort. Tall and fall delivery, works on-line, lands square, finishes athletically. Fastball, tilt, controlled, 86-88. Curveball, slurve action, 11/5 shape, 70-75. Changeup, near fastball arm speed, flashed fade and cut, 76-80. Defensively, long, loose arm action, over-the-top slot, plays through the ball, throws carry, 91 mph from the outfield. Offensively, balanced setup, short stride, maintains balance through contact. Line drive approach, gap-to-gap potential, level barrel path, 89 mph exit velocity off a tee. Ran a 7.19 laser-timed 60.

6-foot-4, 175-pound right-handed hitting utility player with a lanky, highly projectable frame. Intriguing two way talent. At the plate hits from a balanced setup with a leg kick stride and good balance. Gap to gap hitter with fluid rhythm and a fast bat. 88 mph exit velocity from a tee. 4.61 runner down the line. Defensively in the outfield threw an event best 91 mph from the outfield. Long arm action from an over the top slot. Accurate throw with carry. Plays thru the ball with fluid rhythm. Also took drills at first base and threw 79 mph across the infield. Projects best on the mound. Works from an over the top arm angle with a long, loose arm action. Tall and fall delivery with easy effort and smooth rhythm. Fastball sat 83-85 topping out at 86 mph. Curveball has 11-5 shape at 67-71 mph. Changeup has downer action at 72-74 mph.  

7/7/17 - Long upside frame, 6-foot-4, 175-pounds, thin build with room to add strength. Two hits in the contest. Athletic hitter, loose hands, ball jumped off bat at times. High ceiling hitter. Long strided runner, moves well for size, instinctual reads on the basepaths. Impressed on the mound as well. Works from a high ¾ arm angle with  along, quick arm action. Tall and fall delivery with easy effort. Fastball sat 82-84 mph. Showed feel for changeup, worked 74-75 mph with with downer action. Curveball worked 67-68 mph with 11-5 shape and loose rotation
