Displaying an athletic 5-foot-9, 145-pound frame with room for growth, Philip Becraft was impressive on the mound for the Silver Sluggers. The lefty threw five complete innings not allowing a single earned run and only two hits. Mechanically, Becraft is loose and relaxed with a long stride stepping toward the left-handed batter’s box. He hides the ball well in his delivery and throws out of a 3/4 arm slot. His fastball is consistently thrown at 72-75 mph with a sharp 68-70 mph curveball thrown for strikes. Becraft paints the outside corner for right handed batters creating weak contact.
