At the plate it’s a controlled gather into the back side, landing on-time toward the pitcher in a controlled manner. Wawrzyniakowski creates good separation and uses his quick, strong hands to hit the ball hard in the air to the middle of the field. The Catholic Memorial junior showed clean actions defensively - a quality receiver with soft hands who also showed the ability to smother balls in the dirt. He has a quick transfer with a repeatable, accurate arm that allowed him to run pop times down to 1.97 seconds.

At the plate, in a slightly open stance, Wawrzyniakowski gets to a strong hitting position and whips his barrel, featuring a strong swing that stood out at the showcase.
