Possessing an athletic and proportionate 5-foot-5, 145-pound frame with room for growth, Elias Pelegrin impressively threw a complete seven inning game for the Stars. The righty only gave up two earned runs and four hits. Mechanically, Pelegrin is tall and loose on the mound with a really high leg kick in the windup. He keeps all his weight on his back leg and fully extends his arm on the way back with a high 3/4 arm slot. Pelegrin paints the corners with his fastball always getting ahead in the count. His fastball was thrown 72-74 mph with a sharp 62-64 mph curveball that had 12/6 drop to it.
