5-foot-9, 180-pound strong sturdy build. During batting practice, Evans recorded an exit velocity of 91 mph. (70.8 mph bat speed average). (19.5 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced athletic stance with a quick active load, then used a small leg kick. Bat speed is flashed explosive, shows an uphill swing plane and good extension on his balanced finish. Barreled up multiple balls with a lot of loud contact. Gap to gap aggressive approach. Confident in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 83 mph; has sure consistent hands, aggressive in control feet, and a clean fluid exchange. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Used a compact quick arm action and a ¾ slot. Performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.98. On the mound, showing quick consistent arm speed he had a high ¾ arm angle with a compact arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows decent effort. Even shoulders and a strong balance point. Sat with his fastball at 81-83 mph; shows slight running action and glove side command. (Max spin 2105; Avg 2012). Showed down in the zone command and tight late action on his 11/5 curveball (71-72). (Max spin ; Avg ). His changeup (70-73) shows fading action and decent down in the zone control.
