Grupe is 6-2 with an athletic frame that has some projection left. Throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a long loose arm action that is quick and easier effort. Shoulders uphill and on line, lands square with an athletic finish. Fastball was 86-89 with some downward angle and late hard run to it. Curveball was 70-72 with some armspeed and late sharp 11/5 break. Change-up was 77-79 with good armspeed and some late run to it.

10.21.17:  Grupe is 6-2 with a lankier athletic frame, he hits from the right side from a slightly open athletic stance. Short stride on line, short smooth load down and back, some rhythm to swing. Good hips and some balance to swing. Short path to ball, level too it, uphill extension through the ball, line drive swing, stays inside and works middle of field, exit velocity was 87. At third, good footwork, rounds ball and fields it with a wide base and soft hands. Plays through the ball to a quick clean exchange, short quick arm action from a high three-quarters arm slot, infield velocity was 86. On the mound, throws from a three-quarters arm slot, longer loose arm action, quick arm easy effort. Shoulders on line and slightly uphill, lands square with a slight fall off finish. Fastball was 87-88 with boring action to armside. Curveball had late 11/5 break and some armspeed at 70-71. Change-up had some fade and some armspeed and was 75-77. Was around the strike zone with all three pitches.
