Gupton has a lanky 5-9 frame that has a lot of projection left to it. Speed is an asset for him, hit at the top of the order. His speed puts pressure on the infield when he puts the ball in play, also has a feel for reading pitchers and getting a good jump, creates havoc on the bases. Hits from the right side from a slightly open athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, smooth load down and back, hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Short level quick line drive swing, some extension through the ball. Showed a good approach working gap to gap, focuses on hitting ball square gap to gap and getting on base, has ability to get some power up the gaps and use speed to stretch into extra bases.
